REAL School Gardens’ mission is to create learning gardens that grow successful students. We build learning gardens that capitalize on children’s innate fascination with the natural world to get them more engaged in lessons in science, math and across the curriculum. We then turn teachers into effective outdoor educators with our three-year training program and a series of standards-based, hands-on outdoor lesson plans. Across our network of 101 partner schools in North Texas, more than 55,000 students and 3,500 teachers have daily access to hands-on teaching and learning opportunities in outdoor classrooms.
