Media veteran Joe Weir has joined Texas Monthly as our new chief revenue officer, overseeing the company’s sales operations. Through the rest of the year, he’ll work alongside our CRO emeritus, Jalaane Levi-Garza, as part of the transition. Weir hails from the Panhandle city of Childress and received his liberal arts degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. He began his media career as a sales executive in Dallas at Belo Corporation, where Broadcast & Cable magazine recognized him as a digital all-star. During his 20 years at the company, which would eventually become Dallas News Corporation, he learned all aspects of the business—from publishing to broadcast to sales and digital marketing.
