Give the gift of life during the Carter BloodCare donation drive on Saturday, April 19 outside Broken Yolk Cafe at District 121 in McKinney. The bus will be parked on-site, ready to accept blood donations from eligible community members.
Every three seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood for lifesaving treatments including surgeries, trauma recovery and cancer care. Although 4.5 million lives are saved each year through blood transfusions, only about 3 percent of eligible people donate. Just one donation can help save lives—and it starts with you.
To donate you must be in good health, at least 16 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more, and feel well on the day of your donation. Sixteen-year-old donors must bring a signed parental consent form—parental consent is not required for ages 17 and older. Plan to attend and make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
