About
Elisabeth Davis took eight transactions to the closing table within a five-month period, and had another pending “in the wings.” Such production is enviable at any time, but this happened to be in the middle of the recession. How did she do it? The answer, she said, is studying the Multiple Listing Service from early in the morning until late at night, learning exactly what’s come on the market – then acting on it fast.

The following is a typical scenario: A property came on the market at 9:30 a.m.; Elisabeth sent it to her client at 11 a.m.; she took her client to see it at 1 p.m. It was, as Elisabeth intuited, the perfect house for her client, who bought it.

Knowledge about the market and about exactly what would suit her clients also plays a strong role in her success. A third-generation Dallasite, Elisabeth grew up in Lakewood, lived later in far North Dallas, rented in the Park Cities after college, and now owns in Lakewood where she lives with her husband. She has a working familiarity with all of these areas as well as Uptown, Devonshire, Preston Hollow, Richardson, and Plano.

Excellent communication skills were honed at Texas A&M, where she graduated with a degree in speech communication and public relations. She further developed these skills working in a public relations firm in Dallas. Her inborn sense of service was encouraged during a stint at Genesis Women’s Shelter, where she worked in administration, public relations, and as director of donations.

A strong work ethic (which, she says, comes straight from her Dad) and a strong desire to help clients have made her quickly responsive to their needs. She is willing to meet them on the spot, any time. Her calm demeanor instills confidence during any stress-laden step of a transaction. Her clients are largely referrals and encompass young families and professionals in a variety of fields, including attorneys, bankers, teachers, and nurses.

Elisabeth is currently a member of the networking group, The Industry Elite in Real Estate. She and her husband, who is an attorney, are members of the Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Personal hobbies include interior design (her natural eye helps clients visualize a home’s potential) and being outdoors, especially running around White Rock Lake.

But, in truth, real estate is ever on her mind. Often, after seeing a fabulous property, she goes to bed thinking, “Just who can buy this house?”
