The Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce(GEDCC) hosted its 15th Annual Economic Summit presented by CC Young on October 15th at the Doubletree by Hilton Campbell Centre. The Chamber, comprised of East Dallas community leaders and advocates, presented this year’s Keynote Speakers Alexa Conomos and Bradley Anderson, a well-known Entrepreneurial Power Couple who have brought years of experience and dedication to their careers and the business community. “A Conversation with Alexa & Bradley” focused on their background, entrepreneurial journey, the transition/balance of having a “day job” and an “entrepreneurial endeavor.” 

Combining the East Dallas community’s dedication to education, growth, the work force and development, this year’s Economic Summit centered around the theme “East Dallas Works…”  

Other featured speakers were Councilmembers David Blewett, Adam Bazaldua, Paula Blackmon and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Adam McGough and included Steve Brown, Real Estate Editor of The Dallas Morning News and Pia Orrenius, VP/Senior Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. They spoke on topics surrounding the economic vitality of the Greater East Dallas community and this year’s theme.    

CC Young was this year’s Presenting Sponsor and Hillside Tavern was the Keynote Sponsor.  Oncor and Comerica Bank were Gold Sponsors and additional Sponsors included Veritex Community Bank and Frost Bank as Silver Sponsors and Bishop Lynch High School and Times Ten Cellars as Bronze Sponsors. CandysDirt.com and Advocate were Media Sponsors.    

The 2019 Economic Summit Co-Chairs include Richard Moore with Lakewood Title and Darlene Ellison with Veritex Community Bank.
