Two powerhouse women were in town for the 3rd Annual 4word Gala Divine Design 2019 Celebrating Women Empowerment held on March 2 at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel.  Susan Packard, Co-Founder and former COO of HGTV and Laura Tucker, Lead Designer for Joanna and Chip Gaines’ Magnolia Homes, are strong models of inspiration, drive, and energy in their career eminence. Both of these influential women shared how their faith and passion empowered them to shape the successful careers achieved.

The gala brought together over 400 women and men from throughout the nation. 4word differs from many organizations in that it is a digital community with Local Groups in 24 cities. Social networking sites, blogs and podcasts provide inspiration for their members, making it assessible for anyone at any location. The Local Groups have regular networking meetups for face to face time.

Over 100 C-Level 4word women in were attendance, and the Local Groups comprised over 90 women who attended from Austin, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, New York City, Nashville, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, and Southlake.

In total, the 4word Divine Design Gala had a 30% increase in net income over last year's Gala, all thanks to the generosity of the 400+ attendees who joined to celebrate what God is doing for women in the workplace around the world through 4word.

The silent and live auction and donations, plus other revenue, helped raise more than $70,000. With the silent auction being offered online for the first time in the Gala’s history, women from all over were able to still be part of the festivities (even if they couldn't make it to Dallas), with winners reported from locations like Charlotte, Austin, and even Mexico.

Honorary Chairs for the event were Ka Cotter, Dorthy Miller Shore, and Dr. Kathryn Waldrep.

The gala was chaired by Debbie Dillon. Diane Paddison is the founder of 4word.

Proceeds from the gala will benefit 4word, a Faith-Based Community that Empowers & Inspires Women in the Workplace through Personal Connection and 4word’s Mentoring Program to:

  • Elevate Leadership and Match Calling and Gifts to Work (Professional)
  • Build and Strengthen Relationships (Relational)
  • Integrate Faith into all aspects of Life (Spiritual)
  • Develop Inner Confidence and Discover Purpose

The 4word Mentoring Program has paired 400 women whose lives have been transformed both as a mentor and a mentee. The deadline for applications for the summer mentoring program is May 3. Details are available on the website www.4wordwomen.org.
