After graduating from the University of Texas Cathy became a teacher at Highland Park High School in Dallas where she was Chairman of the Foreign Language department. Later, while raising a family in Highland Park, Cathy served as Executive Director of Kaleidescope Tours. Her many civic activities include the Board of Directors of the Junior League of Dallas and the Dallas Epilepsy Association and Cathy was an original co-chairman of the Office of Protocol of the City of Dallas. She has traveled extensively, studying French and Spanish in Belgium and Mexico.
