About
Satisfying customers with ultimate service is something Baird Hicks was born to do. As the great granddaughter of Ninnie Baird, she is cut out of the same cloth as the woman who founded Mrs. Baird’s Bread at a time when women did not do such things. Baird also grew up steeped in quality residential real estate – her step-father chaired the noted real estate brokerage firm, Brant’s Company of Fort Worth. Her ingrained sense of customer service, therefore, is a continuation of two extraordinary family traditions.

Graduating from Mary Baldwin College with a degree in communications, Baird forayed into politics, working first for Dallas’ U.S. Congressman, Rep. Steve Bartlett, in Washington, D.C., then for U.S. Congressman Larry Hopkins in his Lexington, Kentucky office. For both, she represented the best interests of the Congressmen while sensitive to constituents’ needs. Her degree in communications was also being developed on the job.

After moving to Dallas and marrying, this native North Texan next entered the world of high-end sales, selling memberships for Club Corp. and the Bass brothers luxury-level clubs. Born with an aesthetic eye, she then began to practice interior design.

Baird’s two children grew up first in Preston Hollow, then in the Park Cities, giving her valuable market knowledge in what would become her specialty areas. She volunteered in several capacities at Armstrong Elementary, McCullough Intermediate, and Highland Park Middle School, where her children attended, giving Baird an excellent knowledge of the Highland Park Independent School District.

Today, Baird is following in her father’s footsteps in residential real estate, which she always wanted to do. Her clients are now the beneficiaries of all of her experiences and talents: refined communication, luxury sales expertise, an aesthetic eye that can visualize a property’s potential and acute customer service skills.

Specializing in the Park Cities, Preston Hollow, and the M Streets, Baird’s biggest satisfaction is to see clients happy at closing. And she is willing to go every extra mile to get that. She has excellent experience in negotiating the best price for her clients, whether buyers or sellers.

Baird has a great love for horses and is an avid tennis player. Her community involvement includes working alongside her daughter with the National Charity League, an organization that teaches daughters about philanthropy and volunteering. She has been a Sunday school teacher for years, and she has served in numerous church ministries. She currently attends the Highland Park United Methodist Church.
