Thinking of going to Santa Fe over Spring break. Any suggestions for a hotel?

We recently stayed at La Fonda on the Plaza. It was fun, historic, very
picturesque, and so, so convenient to most of the things you'd want to do.
Parking in Santa Fe is a pain, and this was right on the Plaza and in the
middle of everything. They were running some sort of special and we got what
I thought was a good price, plus the hotel has been undergoing a renovation
of a lot of the public spaces. Breakfast in the 'courtyard' restaurant,
sitting next to the fountain, with the skylight and painted windows is one
of my best memories of our trip. Check them out online and see what deals
they might be running now.

If you can go to Taos instead, Casa de las Chimeneas is well worth
going out of your way for.

For high end: La Posada -- owned by Rockresorts

Close to Plaza: Hotel Plaza Real (some rooms are actual suites, some have fireplaces)

For historical presence: La Fonda

Runs the youth music dept at HPUMC and also teaches voice lessons.
I would ask Terrie - she may not do it, although she could probably give you some good referalls.

I would start with Karen Zukoski at MIS who is Music teacher: zukoskk@hpisd.org or ask Linda Raya, Dir. of Fine Arts at the HS (rayal@hpisd.org)). They should have some ideas.

I highly recommend Gilbert Ward. His company is called Ward Property Services, phone number 214-827-2129. We have used Gilbert since we bought our first house 23 years ago. He is very honest and reasonable, and he can fix anything!

We've used Jack Williams and Son, 214 352-6952 for almost eighteen years. He's done everything from fix broken disposals to jackhammering through our foundation to find a leaking pipe, and we've always been pleased. We've also recommended him to a friend who has been very happy with his work too.

I googled Jiangs to see if they had a website and safari gave me an error message that it detected malware on what theoretically was the website for Jiangs in Snider Plaza. Has anyone looked at the website recently? Am I being overly paranoid to not hit ignore and check it out anyway?

Hey, the Noodle Bowl is good.  I don't vouch for their website.  I would say don't click!  Go pick up a menu.

For a variety of options, you can use a service called "Dining In" (diningin.com). This service handles several restaurants (over 40) in our area and picks up the food and brings to your house. Some examples are: The Cheescake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, Qdoba, Cantina Laredo, Kathleens Art Cafe,Chili's, Prime Steak House,,,,,,,,,. costs $4 to use them if you do it via website and more if you phone them (972-931-0007)

Have you used them before?  I have always wanted to but feared the food would be cold...

Hey Saffie
yes I have........ it all depends on what you order...... and how far away the restaurant is to your house.   I would never order Fish or something that you really want to eat HOT and right away.  But they are a good alternative to having to always order Pizza or Chineese!!  I don't remember the food being cold......... kids use it more than I do and typically use it while Mark and I are away and my motherinlaw is here with them (LOTS of ordering out happens then!!)
