Tiffany Mann to Headline Dallas Theater Center Centerstage Gala

Dallas Theater Centers annual fundraiser, CENTERSTAGE, will return to the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Original headliner, Michael Urie, has been called away to promote his hit show Shrinking. DTC is thrilled for his success and looks forward to welcoming him to Dallas for a future event. In a celebration of DFW talent, Centerstage will now welcome DTC Alum and DFW native, Tiffany Mann, as the evenings headliner. She will be joined by Guest Artists Bri Woods and Akron Watson, who have just starred in DTCs acclaimed production of Ragtime.

Tiffany Mann is one of New York Citys premier Broadway talents, hailed as a powerhouse performer with a commanding presence that electrifies every stage she touches. Her musical foundation was rooted in the church, later refined through formal training with the renowned Texas Girls Choir under founder Shirley Carter. She continued her artistic development at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts and toured extensively with the Singing Girls of Texas. After studying vocal performance and opera at Oklahoma City University, Tiffany transitioned seamlessly into professional theater, building her early career with standout performances across DFW before making her way to New York City. Now a sought-after theatrical force, Tiffany is celebrated for her work in Jellys Last Jam and Ragtime at New York City Center Encores!, and the Off-Broadway premiere of Oh Happy Day! at The Public Theater. On Broadway, she originated the role of Jenna Rolan in Be More Chill and appeared in Waitress the Musical.

Bri Woods joined DTCs 2025-2026 season as the Linda and Bill Custard Meadows Actor in the Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company, having just received her MFA for Acting from SMU Meadows School of the Arts. Akron Watson is a Grammy and Emmy-winning actor and singer who has starred on Broadway in The Color Purple, Hamilton, and The Play That Goes Wrong.

Before these artists take the stage, guests will enjoy a cocktail reception highlighting the artistry of Dallas Theater Centers scenic, costume, and props artisans, as well as the theaters Public Works education and community engagement programs. Guests will then move into the Potter Rose Performance Hall for a seated dinner on stage honoring the 2026 Linda and Bill Custard Award recipient, Larry Angelilli, followed by a vibrant live auction and paddle raise.

A limited number of tables and tickets are available. Tables start at $15,000 and single tickets at $1,500.

Womens Alliance of McKinney (WAM) recently welcomed 80+ attendees to its Spring Lunch & Learn held at The Lodge in Trinity Falls, which centered on the theme Relationships Before Transaction. Guests were encouraged to support the events nonprofit partner, the McKinney Community Food Pantry, with donations upon arrival, reinforcing the organizations commitment to community impact.

Committee Chair Rita Townsend opened the program by emphasizing the importance of leading with connection, setting the tone for a dynamic panel discussion featuring three of McKinneys most respected leaders in business community engagement. Panelists included Monica Szewczyk, co-founder of Texas Property Sisters, who is recognized for championing local businesses and creating meaningful connections; CElla Clayton, Director of Marketing for Trinity Falls at Johnson Development Corp., known for her thoughtful, community-building approach to partnerships and placemaking marketing; and Kathy Blank, CCE, IOM, a longtime leader celebrated for her ability to bring people together and foster opportunities through genuine relationships.

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, Dallas music lovers gathered at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center for the Dallas Symphony Orchestras 2025 Symphony Gala. This years glittering event celebrated the DSOs 125th anniversary. More than 400 distinguished guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening that included cocktails, dinner and a live auction. An additional 800 guests joined the celebration at the Gala concert and after-party. Vanessa and David Cain served as the 2025 Symphony Gala Chairs along with Honorary Co-Chairs Erin Mathews and Ruth Ruhl and Host Committee Chairs Dr. Courtney and Andrew Nall.

Guests arrived in the main lobby of the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, which David Kimmel Design had transformed into a lush, futuristic garden, complete with shimmering water features and ethereal mist the perfect setting for a champagne reception. The Dallas Symphony Chorus entertained with a medley of songs from the Meyersons radial staircase.

Honorary Co-Chairs Erin Mathews and Ruth Ruhl welcomed guests for dinner and introduced auctioneer Charlie Caulkins from Sothebys, who led the nights spirited live auction. Highlights from the auction included a Napa Wine Country Getaway, a Porsche track experience in Atlanta and a luxury stay at Four Seasons in Vail, Colorado and the Mandarin Oriental Ritz in Madrid, all generously donated by sponsors.

Capital One Head of Navigator Products Annie Fallows presented Young Strings student Elias Gonzalez with the first-ever Capital One Outstanding Student Award, which includes a $5,000 scholarship for Gonzalez to invest in his musical future. Designed to support continued artistic growth, juniors and seniors in the DSOs Young Strings and Young Musicians programs were encouraged to apply for this award. The funds can be used toward the purchase of a new instrument, enrollment in a summer program or masterclass, college-related expenses and more.

After dinner, guests moved into the Eugene McDermott Concert Hall and were welcomed by Ross Perot President & CEO Michelle Miller Burns, Dallas Symphony Association Chair of the Board of Governors Roger Gault and Gala Chairs Vanessa and David Cain. The Cains then welcomed Music Director Fabio Luisi (Louise W. & Edmund J. Kahn Music Directorship) and the musicians of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to the stage. The evenings concert with the DSO was led by Luisi and featured Artist-in-Residence Leonidas Kavakos. The program included Tchaikovskys Violin Concerto and Beethovens Overture to Egmont. The Beethoven work was a special nod to the DSOs history; the legendary Georg Solti conducted the piece on his first subscription concert as DSO Music Director in 1961.

After the performance, guests returned to the Meyerson lobby, which had been magically transformed once again, into a whimsical, futuristic soiree in the celestial garden for an after-party experience where guests enjoyed savories, desserts and dancing to live music performed by Groove Sinfonico with DSO trumpet Elmer Churampi.

The annual Symphony Gala is one of the Dallas Symphony Orchestras largest annual fundraisers, benefitting the DSOs life-changing education and community outreach initiatives, allowing the DSO to continue inspiring and changing lives through musical excellence. The DSO touches the lives of more than 200,000 North Texas residents each year.

Saddle Up: A Texas-Sized Celebration with Heart

On Wednesday, September 10, the State Fair of Texas hosted its annual Saddle Up Benefit Concert at The Rustic, drawing 300 guests for a festive evening that blended Texas-sized fun with heartfelt purpose. Honorary co-chairs John Harkey and Peni Barfeild, along with event co-chairs Robert and Stephani Walne and Grant and Courtney Pruitt, set the tone for the night as guests enjoyed classic Midway games, a caricature artist, an interactive branding station, cowboy hat and boot bar,and plenty of Instagram-worthy photo moments with Fair mascot Lil Tex under the open sky.

Familiar faces spotted in the crowd included Martha and Sean Jackson; State Fair of Texas President Mitchell Glieber and his wife, Lisa; FOX 4s Hanna Battah and Kevin Fleck; Cynthia and Randy Smoot, and many more Dallas notables.

A spirited live auction amped up the energy of the evening, showcasing one-of-a-kind offerings like a VIP Night at the Fair, premium tickets and an exclusive experience at the 2025 Red River Rivalry game, a Lil Tex Visits Your Childs School VIP package, and a bucket-list getaway to the NFR Finals in Las Vegas.

Dallas Dodgeball Tournament Nets $132K for Vogel

After a six-year hiatus, the high-energy corporate dodgeball tournament Dodge For A Cause bounced back in a big way at SMUs Moody Coliseum. Thirty-two spirited teams faced off for bragging rights, diving, dodging, and ducking their way through a night of friendly competitionall in support of Vogel, a Dallas nonprofit dedicated to helping children and families overcome homelessness and poverty.

Sewell Automotive, competing as The Dodgefathers VII, clinched the championship title, while Houlihan Lokeys Dip and Dodgers claimed second place. But the biggest win of the night came off the court: more than $132,000 was raised to support Vogels mission.

While Dallas boasts the sixth-largest GDP in the nation and is home to over 20 Fortune 500 headquarters, the city faces a sobering reality. Each night, an estimated 4,800 children in Dallas go to sleep without a home, exposing them to lasting physical, emotional, and mental trauma. Vogel works to break this cycle by ensuring every child has a safe home, a self-sufficient family, and the foundation for long-term success in school and life. CENTERSTAGE 41 Applauds Unsung Heroes of the Stage

On the evening of Friday, May 2, 2025, Dallas Theater Center hosted its 41st annual CENTERSTAGE Gala, presented by Texas Instruments, at the stylish Fashion Industry Gallery (FIG). Themed Take a Bow, this years celebration honored not only the performers who shine under the lights but also the artisans, educators, and visionaries behind the scenes whose devotion brings each production to life. Returning event chair Hamilton A Sneed led the festivities, which unfolded as a sweeping tribute to the theaters enduring impact on Dallass cultural landscape. Nearly 300 guests gathered for a night that was equal parts spectacle and sentimentbeginning with a champagne reception and culminating in stirring musical performances by members of the Diane & Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company alongside beloved guest artists.

Upon arrival, attendees ascended FIGs staircase and were transported into a theatrical reimagining of a contemporary New York supper club, with pristine white linens and a rich wash of violet light setting the stage. Lavish private salons featured displays of theatrical wigs from past DTC productions, a gallery showcasing artworks by Public Works participants, and a vivid visual archive of DTCs Project Discovery legacy. Notables in attendance included including Linda Custard, Jon and Dawn Mellon, Kimberly Alexander, Andy Smith and Paul von Wupperfeld, Diane and Hal Brierley, Jennifer and Peter Altabef, Terri Provencal, Melinda Johnson, and Grace Cook. Guests mingled with crafted cocktails provided by ROXOR Artisan Spirits, Sagamore Whiskey, Casa Obsidiana Tequila, and Disaronno and Tia Maria-laced espresso martinis. The immersive evening paid tribute to the holistic ecosystem of theaterfrom set carpenters to storytellersunderscoring DTCs commitment to community and creativity. As dinner was called, Sneed welcomed Dallass arts patrons, philanthropists, and civic leaders, reminding all that the evening was not just a celebration, but a call to actionto sustain and expand the reach of the Tony Award®-winning companys transformative education and outreach efforts.

Tonight, is about celebrating everyone who makes theater happen at DTC from wig makers to dressers, costume designers to technicians, woodworkers to musicians, ushers to actors, and everyone in between. DTCs impact goes beyond the stage. It reaches into classrooms, neighborhoods, and communities across Dallas. I couldnt be more excited to support the next generation of storytellers, theatergoers, and dreamers, said Sneed. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Linda and Bill Custard Award, DTCs highest honor, bestowed upon Joel Ferrellrenowned actor, director, choreographer, educator, and former Associate Artistic Director of Dallas Theater Center. The moment was made especially poignant by the recent passing of Bill Custard, a stalwart of DTC since its inception. In tribute, Executive Director and CEO Kevin Moriarty announced that the 20252026 season will be dedicated to Custards memory.

On December 27^th, 1959, on Dallas Theater Centers first opening night, Linda & Bill were at the brand-new Kalita Humphreys Theater on a date, 8 months before their 65-year marriage would begin, Moriarty said. Its impossible to think of DTCs history without thinking of Bill Custard. He and Linda have given so much of their time, their wisdom, their leadership and their financial support to ensure that DTC will thrive for generations to come. Of Ferrell, Moriarty spoke with reverence: Joels artistry and his mentorship is an extension of his familys deepest values: grounded in justice, respect, and a deep awareness of our shared humanity Joel empowers others to express themselves truthfully. He provides opportunity for those who others attempt to marginalize. To come in for an audition. To be included in a rehearsal room. To lift up their voice and sing. To act to take action. To stand up. To dance. To be seen and heard. This is what I love about Joel, and about the countless theater artists with whom he has formed a tribe for so many decades, creating outstanding productions.

Following the award presentation, guests enjoyed a three-course meal by Vestals Catering, with wine pairings from Bezel by Cakebread and St. Francis Winery. The spirited live auction, conducted by Morgan Hopson, offered luxury travel and culinary experiences from Milan Fashion Week to San Miguel de Allende, Cabo San Lucas, and Palm Springs. The program continued with remarks from Brandi Giles, DTC Director of Public Works, who captured the soul of the evening: Public Works is more than just a community engagement initiativeits a lifeline. Its a door flung open wide, inviting people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences to step into the world of theater not as spectators, but as storytellers. People who have never acted beforesome who have never even been in a theaterfind themselves singing, dancing, laughing, and creating side by side with professional artists. The gala crescendoed in an emotionally charged musical revue featuring selections from Cabaret, Rocky Horror Show, Dreamgirls, Once On This Island, and moreproductions shaped by Ferrells creative legacy. Performers included Resident Acting Company members and surprise guest stars David Coffee, Julie Johnson, and Denise Lee, punctuating the evening with joy, memory, and reverence.

Trail Day 5K Raises $18K For Local Nonprofits

Johnson Development believes that vibrant communities do more than provide homes - they inspire connection, celebrate life, and foster a spirit of giving back. This past Saturday was a shining example of that belief in action. Trinity Falls by Johnson Development proudly hosted the 3rd Annual Trinity Falls Trail Day 5K in celebration of National Trails Day.

Under beautiful skies, more than 600 runners, walkers, plus their families and friends joined together for a joyful morning filled with movement, nature, and purpose. The event raised over $18,000 which was awarded to local North Texas nonprofits. This years beneficiaries were Alliance of Elite Youth Leadership (AEYL), Warriors Keep, and YMCA of McKinney.

The scenic race route guided participants around the paved trails of Trinity Falls beautiful master-planned community traversing the 350-acre natural park with miles of winding, wooded river frontage where families explore and become one with nature. Trinity Falls chose June 7 to align with National Trails Day, a nationwide event held to encourage people to discover their local trails and celebrate spending time outdoors.

Every participant in the 5K received a medal, while trophies and cash prizes were awarded in multiple categories. After the race, families were encouraged to stay and enjoy a variety of local outdoors, recreation and fitness vendors, a disc golf demonstration, music, photo-ops, and food trucks. The Frontiers of Flight Museum just took retail to new heights. On Tuesday, May 13, the museum unveiled its newly reimagined storean elevated 1,400-square-foot space designed to surprise, delight, and spark curiosity in visitors of all ages. Abi Erickson-Torres, FOFM President & CEO welcomed supporters and honored guests who were among the first to shop exclusive Frontiers of Flight merch and interactive STEM kits, aviation-themed books, bold art prints, and clever, design-forward toys. Trinity Falls and Women's Alliance of McKinney Unite to Champion Financial Confidence

On Thursday, April 24, Trinity Falls hosted members of the Women's Alliance of McKinney (WAM) for their annual Spring Lunch & Learn event at The Lodge at Trinity Falls where guests enjoyed a catered lunch of tea sandwiches and pastries catered by Royal Catering. The event was themed the Stronger Side of Wealth and Well Being and began with a presentation from financial advisor Eric Blake, who set the stage with key statistics on womens growing financial influence, highlighting the importance of women taking an active role in their financial futures.

Ben E. Keith is honored to announce a donation of $100,000 to Nexus Family Recovery Center, helping to successfully close out Phase 1 of their Recovery Rising Campaign and meet their fundraising goal of $10 million. Nexus Family Recovery Center is a vital resource for individuals and families facing substance use disorders (SUD), providing comprehensive, family-centered care that addresses homelessness, family disruption, economic hardship, and incarceration. The funds will be used to bring the Doswell Medical Building to life, creating a new gateway to the Nexus campus that will house essential services such as Admissions, Detox, and Medication-Assisted Treatment.

Recovery and health services is a top priority, so Nexus was a natural fit with the mission of the Ben E. Keith Foundation. The 15th Annual Symphony of Chefs was held on Monday, February 24 at Astoria Event Venue. This event is a unique experience unlike any other chef-driven charity event in the DFW Metroplex in that the city's most notable chefs participate in a culinary evening that is out of this world. Guests enjoy a chef-prepared & interactive four-course dinner, wine pairings from some of the worlds best vineyards, a silent auction of experiences and much more! Honorary Chef Chairs Janice Provost, Chef & Owner of Parigi and Dan Landsberg, Executive Chef of The Texas Barn at Circle T Ranch, were the driving forces behind this years ultimate chef-driven culinary dinner experience benefiting KidLinks. Notable supporters in attendance included Founding Event Chairs Bonnie and Nathan Shea, Cristi and Kevin Ryan, Jodie and John Ludwig, and Lisa & Stuart Sides.

The evening kicked off with hors doeuvres prepared by James Ash of Harwood Hospitality Group and a luxurious caviar bar hosted by Black River Caviar. While guests shopped the silent auction, a livestream of Chef Ash preparing these delicious bites was shown. Hamilton A Sneed of HAS Events was the visionary behind this culinary concept. DJ Yojina set the vibe spinning tunes as guests entered through draped curtains, revealing tables placed throughout Astorias spacious setting. The scene was set for what was a lively evening of culinary composition. The reception was followed by a seated dinner where 17 of Dallas most notable chefs prepared a unique four-course dinner tableside for guests with wine pairings from Banfi Wines, Delicato Family Wines, Willamette Valley Vineyards, HALL Wines, Copper Cane Wines, Riboli Family Wines, Rootstock Wines, Times Ten Cellars, Sonoma Time, and Lewis Cellars.

Sarah Blaskovich, Food Writer for The Dallas Morning News, served as the evenings emcee and introduced Temira and Jerry Wagner, who shared how music therapy sessions provided by KidLinks had impacted their son, Jerry Allen Wagner II (whom they affectionately call JAWS), who was was diagnosed at 9 months with a rare chromosome deletion. He has complex medical care needs along with developmental delay and is on the spectrum for Autism. JAWS is non-verbal, but music communicates to him and thanks to several years of KidLinks therapy, now communicates via beats by clapping along with the tempo, using some sign language, and can now wave a lot to say "Hi!"

Temira also shared, Seeing the quality sessions and outcomes helped us to see the value and importance of such work. We had an in-depth conversation at our church, Disciple City Church and by mid-summer 2024, KidLinks was able to launch a music therapy clinic at our church in Oak Cliff. Typically, in urban and rural communities, families must commute far for services and even spend more for quality sessions. Now, families in the Oak Cliff area and in neighboring communities have better access to these blessings of services.

Paul Pass, Co-Executive Director (Development) of KidLinks addressed the room saying, "For over four decades, KidLinks has positively impacted more than 439,000 children and caregivers through direct service programs and thousands more through our online platforms.
