Starting June 1, register and participate online, at hptx.beanstack.org, for the 2026 Children's Summer Reading Club.

Programs are available for ages 0-5 and 6-12. Teen Summer Reading registration is open to ages 10 and up, if preferred.
Earn points, badges, and certificates by logging minutes read, activities completed, and events attended.
You may also pick up a print Summer Reading Log at the Library to keep track of your summer reading activities.
Earn 150 points to receive a prize. Once 150 points are obtained, Library staff will choose a book to donate in your name to Catch Up and Read, a nonprofit agency that teaches and empowers children to reach literacy milestones.
Earn 300 points to receive an additional prize and to be entered into a drawing for 1 Core 5 Membership to the Perot Museum. The Core 5 Membership includes:

- - - One year of free general admission for 5 people ages 2+ to the Perot's 11 permanent exhibit halls
    - Access to members-only hours every Sunday, 10-11am
    - $5 Museum parking*
    - 10% off purchases at the Café and Museum Shop
    - Reciprocal admission to hundreds of science institutions in the ASTC Passport Program*

*ASTC reciprocity exists only with museums outside the 90-mile radius of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and your home address.

*Discounted $5 member parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This summer, TOCA Social Dallas will be the ultimate destination for international soccer action, screening live matches from its Grandscape venue. Combining live match broadcasts with interactive soccer gameplay, food and drink packages, reserved seating, and fan activations, TOCA Social offers a one-of-a-kind watch and play party experience in DFW. Fans can catch all of the USA Mens National Team action at TOCA Social, with matches taking place on June 12, June 15, June 19, and June 25. In partnership with Michelob Ultra, TOCA Social will also host the Ultra Soccer Shootout Challenge from June 6-June 21, giving guests the chance to compete for two tickets to one of the matches this summer at Dallas Stadium. From Watch & Play packages to walk-in match viewing, TOCA Social is the place to watch and play all tournament long.

Alice: A Variation on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland is a new take on Carroll's classic tales crafting a story of a young girl named Alice Pleasance Liddell and the friendship she develops with Charles Dodgson (alias Lewis Carroll). Overcoming her parents' stifling indifference, Alices world turns technicolor as she confronts her deepest fears and discovers her innate creative power through adventures on the other side of the looking glass.

Plague Mask Players back with the amazing AT&T Performing Arts Centers Elevator Project to present 'Alice' a variation on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland', by playwright, Ara Vito, and directed by Samantha Calatozzo Cobb. This production will be the Texas premiere of this exciting new work, and Plague Mask Players is thrilled to be the first to bring it to life for DFW audiences. The play received second place for the Harold and Mimi Steinberg National Student Playwriting Award through the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF).

Dino Discoveries - Friday, June 26, 10:00 a.m., Prather Park - Meet a baby Triceratops and its handler, build an array of dinosaurs -both known and unknown- with our large foam dinosaur bones, and practice your best dinosaur roar. There will even be a scavenger hunt to find a hidden dinosaur egg! Clothes meant for outdoor play and costumes encouraged.

Kick off a soccer-themed night at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science with Thursdays on Tap: Soccer Edition on July 9 from 3 to 9 p.m., a high-energy event tied to World Cup buzz. Enjoy after-hours access to exhibits alongside hands-on activities like robot soccer challenges, stadium design, and interactive labs, plus photo booths, music, and outdoor fun. The event will take place both inside and outside with food trucks onsite including Mi Cocina, Yummy Pizza, Eggstand, and Mama Lama, global bites from Wolfgang Puck Catering inside and drinks from Community Beer Co., including an exclusive World Cup brew.
