Starting June 1, register and participate online, at hptx.beanstack.org, for the 2026 Children's Summer Reading Club.

Programs are available for ages 0-5 and 6-12. Teen Summer Reading registration is open to ages 10 and up, if preferred.
Earn points, badges, and certificates by logging minutes read, activities completed, and events attended.
You may also pick up a print Summer Reading Log at the Library to keep track of your summer reading activities.
Earn 150 points to receive a prize. Once 150 points are obtained, Library staff will choose a book to donate in your name to Catch Up and Read, a nonprofit agency that teaches and empowers children to reach literacy milestones.
Earn 300 points to receive an additional prize and to be entered into a drawing for 1 Core 5 Membership to the Perot Museum. The Core 5 Membership includes:

- - - One year of free general admission for 5 people ages 2+ to the Perot's 11 permanent exhibit halls
    - Access to members-only hours every Sunday, 10-11am

SPARK! Dallas presents SPARK! City, a first-of-its-kind immersive public art exhibition celebrating Dallas neighborhoods from June 5 through August 30, 2026..

Designed for both Dallas residents and visitors attending this summers international soccer festivities, SPARK! City transforms the venue into a journey through Downtown/Uptown, Deep Ellum, Oak Cliff/Bishop Arts, Vickery Meadow and The Cedars. Each neighborhood is brought to life through original artwork and immersive installations created by students from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Emmett J. Conrad High School, and Dallas artist Erika Bauer.

Guests can explore the history, culture and creative spirit of each neighborhood while also enjoying SPARK!s popular play sculpture areas and Creative Corner. The exhibit is open Saturdays from 10 a.m.3 p.m., Sundays from 15 p.m., and select weekdays from 15 p.m. during FIFA Family Days.

Admission to SPARK! Filled with sharp humor, heartfelt moments and eccentric small-town characters, the world premiere production is written by Dallas playwrights Patty Pell and Laurie Grigsby and directed by acclaimed playwright and filmmaker Del Shores. Presented by Clark, Pell & King Productions.

Plague Mask Players back with the amazing AT&T Performing Arts Centers Elevator Project to present 'Alice' a variation on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland', by playwright, Ara Vito, and directed by Samantha Calatozzo Cobb. This production will be the Texas premiere of this exciting new work, and Plague Mask Players is thrilled to be the first to bring it to life for DFW audiences. The play received second place for the Harold and Mimi Steinberg National Student Playwriting Award through the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF).

From June 12 through July 18, 2026 the Visitor Center will serve as a unique welcoming hub for guests exploring the festivities. Visitors can also explore a vibrant site-specific art installation and exhibition curated by sculptor Art Garcia, featuring one-of-a-kind works by Oak Cliffbased artists capturing the intersection of sport, culture, and identity. The Oak Cliff Cultural District is a nonprofit organization located in Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas which formally came together to establish itself as a destination for travelers across North Texas and beyond.
