Today I want to look at what I'm wearing this May. This is one of those times of year when we are transitioning from spring to summer, so you never quite know what weather you're going to get. Let's take a look at some styles that will easily carry you from spring into summer that I have been wearing on repeat. I have both dressy and casual styles, so there is something for everyone!

What I'm Wearing This May

A gorgeous addition to my spring and summer wardrobe is this tweed jacket (size S). I love the white tweed and denim details! It pairs perfectly with white jeans and this blue and white striped blouse (size S). I added silver pumps for a luncheon look.

The denim set I wore in NYC that I've been wearing on repeat! These denim pants (size 4) have been a favorite and best seller on the blog. The vest is currently sold out, but this denim vest is similar, or shop my denim vest edit here for more options. Above I styled them with my new Gucci heels, perfect for a happy hour or elevated casual cocktail party. This was my outfit for the DIFF red carpet night and meeting Lou Diamond Phillips.

The LBD everyone needs! This black midi dress (size S) is absolutely stunning and so flattering. I love the elevated pocket details. I styled it with these nude suede heels, the perfect neutral sandal for spring and summer. This was my DIFF 20th anniversary luncheon outfit and I got so many compliments.

How perfect is this linen pant and button-down shirt set (size S)? I love an effortless look for summer that's perfect for lunches, running errands, or heading to the beach. I styled it with these sandals and a raffia tote for a casual daytime look. It comes in a bunch of color choices.

The perfect sporty, daytime style. This white tennis skirt (size S) is a spring and summer staple for me. Above I styled it with a Ralph Lauren polo (size S) and sneakers.

This Americana sweater (size S) has been selling like crazy this week! It's so cute and the perfect weight for both spring and summer. Above I paired it over this button down shirt (size 0), kick flare jeans (size 4), and these suede driving loafers. The shoes were recently recognized both on my best travel shoes list and spring best sellers!

I love a shirtdress for spring and summer, and this belted embroidered dress (size S) is going to be a favorite this year. I love the elevated classic style, perfect for vacation, dining alfresco, and more.

A beautiful patterned midi dress (size S) is another must-have for spring. This one is great for graduations, showers, luncheons, and more.

Another easy dress for summer soirees, date nights, and beach dinners is this floral embroidered midi dress (size S). I love the mixed media style! I paired it with these raffia drop earrings for an elegant look.

Just because temperatures are warming up doesn't mean sweaters are gone! This sleeveless striped sweater vest (size S) is super cute for the season. I paired it with white cropped jeans (fit TTS), this woven raffia clutch, and sandals for the perfect lunch with friends look.

A pop of red it always a good idea for summer. This embroidered tank top (size S) and these red jelly Mary Janes are such fun red accents. The shoes come in whole sizes so I sized down to an 8 (normally 8.5). I styled it with these jeans (fit TTS) and this adorable lobster raffia bag. Shop more red, white, and blue styles here.

In this post, Im sharing some of the best travel gadgets and essentials that make your overall travel experience much better. These items are great for airplanes as well as road trips. If you don't have a trip coming up, it's still great to get these items now in preparation for any future trip you might embark on. Now is the perfect time to plan so you can get all the best deals! Best Travel Gadgets & Essentials

Packing Essentials

Let's start with the items that will make your packing experience so much easier. Obviously, youll need nice luggage. These luxury suitcases are not only high quality and perfect for travel, but also so cute. This carry-on luggage is a similar style for under $200. I own it and love it! Quince also has great luggage options for less. Add a nice leather luggage tag so you never have to worry about losing your things. You also need to invest in an Apple AirTag. Owning one has been a game changer for us. We put them in every piece of luggage.

One packing tipuse packing cubes. They save a ton of space, plus they are made to save your shoes from being squished. Next, youll need a bag for other essentials like electronics, books, etc. I think a backpack with a laptop compartment is a great idea. A nice weekender bag is also a must-have, especially if you aren't flying. Some other things you might not think abouttake a luggage scale to make sure your bags arent over the weight limit, a leather organizing case to organize your tech items and cables, and a portable charger so you never have to worry about finding a plug in the airport or at a rest stop.

Travel Essentials

Let's look at the travel essentials for your ultimate comfort and safety. I know that some people have a hard time getting comfortable on long travel days, so I wanted to share a few things that will help. You definitely need these noise-masking headphones. They drown out the noise so you can play your favorite music and just fall asleep. Also, you need a nice memory foam neck pillow for the ultimate relaxation. If you're flying then you'll also definitely want this phone holder so you can easily watch movies and shows from your phone.

Travel Gadgets

When you arrive at your destination, youll want to make sure you have everything you need. There are some things that youre likely to forget, might not think about, or just make your travel easier. One thing is this travel-sized skincare and travel-sized haircare. I use both of these kits every time I travel. Other gadgets include an outlet adapter and a mobile Wifi hotspot and power bank. This travel steamer is also a must-have item for traveling. Some cool items that help with sanitation is this cell phone sanitizer and charger and this no touch door opener. I love how convenient and easy these gadgets make my life! A fun add on is this GoPro waterproof action camera to capture and remember all of your fun travel adventures.

Whats In My Cart

While packing for summer travel and browsing new arrivals, I found myself adding a few classic warm-weather pieces to my cart. These are the kinds of staples that work for everything from travel days to dinners al fresco chic, versatile, and easy to style all season long. Heres what Im loving lately:

This look is two top sellers in one! These khaki crop pants (size 4) are so good. Everyone needs a great pair of khakis in their wardrobe, and these are it. Another favorite are these Veronica Beard slip-on sneakers. They're so comfortable and have been a travel staple for me. I wore them for hours in both New York City and on our European cruise with no foot pain or blisters!

How cute is this smocked gingham dress (size S)?? It's so flattering and the perfect dress for spring. I've already gotten a lot of wear out of it and we are just hitting warm weather! 10 Best Shoes for Traveling in Style & Comfort

Travel season is upon us! With less than a month until MDW, summer travel is ramping up, meaning it's time to start thinking about what to pack. When it comes to travel, choosing the right shoes can make or break your trip. Whether you're exploring a new city, rushing through the airport, or heading out to dinner after a long day of sightseeing, you need shoes that are stylish, versatile, and most importantly, comfortable.

Over the years, Ive learned (sometimes the hard way!) which shoes are worth packing and which ones are better left at home. Today Im sharing my must-have travel shoes. These are pairs I personally wear and trust to keep my feet happy and my outfits chic, no matter where Im headed.

Best Shoes for Traveling

1. Tod's Driving Penny Loafers

These loafers are the holy grail of stylish travel shoes. The classic design works with everything. Theyre chic enough for a nice dinner and comfy enough to wear all day. If youre going to Europe, these are a must-pack. While these shoes are worth the investment, I also love this pair as a similar version for under $100.

2. Chanel Ballet Flats

A timeless staple that I always bring along. Chanel ballet flats add instant elegance to any outfit. They're surprisingly comfortable for walking and I never get blisters from them. Although they are an investment, I have found them to be worth it. The quality has lasted for years.

3. Lace-Up Sandals

If you're headed somewhere warm, these lace-up sandals are a beautiful option. The cognac color pairs beautifully with white, neutrals, and summer prints. They are so comfortable for all day wear and the lace-up style makes them easy to walk around in for hours. I love that they can be worn during the day with a sundress or dressed up for dinner. Also they pack flat, which is always a win!

I've also been known to pack these silver T-strap sandals for many trips. I wear and style metallic shoes like a neutral color. They elevate everything!

4. Adidas Campus Sneakers

You can never go wrong with a comfortable, sporty sneaker. The Adidas Campus is a favorite for walking-heavy days. Theyve been on my best sellers list since the moment I shared them, so I know y'all love them too. Above I wore them with this white dress for a day of sightseeing.

Tanya Tip: I found these shoes in the children's department, so they were significantly less expensive and fit just as well as women's. For reference, I wear a size 8.5 women's and these shoes are a size 6 children's. If you're not sure about sizing, just buy two pair and return the pair that doesn't fit.

5. TKEES Sandals

TKEES are my go-to flip flops for any trip that is beach or pool-related. Theyre water-resistant and easy to clean, plus they take up almost no space in your luggage. I love the "Custard" shade for a neutral tone that works with everything. They are also perfect for getting a pedicure!

6. On Cloud Running Shoes

On Cloud shoes are perfect for walking days as well as vacation work-outs. They're lightweight, breathable, and supportive. Plus I love how they are without laces and easy to slip on or off. A great option if you want a sneaker that can pair with athletic wear or casual daytime looks.

7. Veronica Beard Sneakers

These Veronica Beard sneakers have been worn on repeat for my last two trips to New York City and the Silversea Greece and Turkey cruise. They are so comfortable and offer to much support. I've worn them both for casual travel days and with daytime looks for walking around, as you can see above. They come in a variety neutral color options and truly elevate your sneaker game.

8. New Balance Lifestyle Sneakers (327 or 574)

These sneakers are a great fashion-forward staple. I love the retro styling, and they come in so many fun color combos. Theyre a great option if you want something with a little more personality than your average sneaker.

9. Loeffler Randall Heeled Sandals (for dressier occasions)

If you have a special dinner or wedding on the itinerary, a kitten heel like the Loeffler Randall heeled sandal is a great choice. They're walkable but still dressy, and they add a feminine touch to evening outfits. I have also been known to pack these espadrilles when travelingespecially if it's a beach-y vacation.

10. Salomon's Sneakers

Salomon's sneakers are a comfortable and trendy sneaker for traveling. While I do not own these shoes, they are on my wishlist and are getting rave reviews! They come in tons of color options and are easy to slip-on and off.

How Many Shoes Should You Pack?

While I do try to be strategic about packing, I usually bring at least four or five pairs to cover all my outfit needs.

Heres what typically makes it into my suitcase for a warm-weather trip:

1 pair of loafers or ballet flats (sometimes both)
1 lace-up sandal
1-2 pair of white or neutral sneakers
1 pair of flip flops or slides
1 dressy heeled sandal for evening

Tanya tip: I wear the bulkiest pair (usually sneakers or loafers) on the plane to save space in my luggage and always pack the rest in individual shoe bags to keep things organized.

Travel Shoe Tips

Break them in: Never travel with brand new shoes! Wear them around the house first.
Pack blister balm and Band-Aids just in case.
Use no-show socks for sneakers to avoid odors and blisters.
Bring a foldable tote or shoe bag to hold a backup pair during long days.
Put your shoes in fabric shoe covers to protect them.

Happy Wednesday, and Happy Earth Day! This means that Mother's Day will be here before you know it. As we all know, April showers bring May flowers...and it also brings in spring wardrobes! Today I am doing an April outfit round-up of my favorite looks as seen on my Instagram for this month. There are a lot of looks in this post, so be sure and scroll all the way through. As you can tell from the photos above, I have been busy with in-store events! had the best time attending the Alice + Olivia in-store event at Highland Park Village in Dallas, benefiting the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Its always such a special evening, and this year did not disappoint! I was thrilled to catch up with Stacey Bendet, the brilliant founder of Alice + Olivia.

Another fabulous event I attended was the Frances Valentine x Atlantic-Pacific launch! I loved meeting Blair Eadie she is so kind and has fabulous taste in fashion. Follow her here! The pink dress was her creation and it's divine!

April Outfit Round-Up

The France Valentine x Atlantic-Pacific limited edition collection is absolutely fabulous! Above I am wearing this pink bow dress in a size S. It is made out of these gorgeous taffeta-like material that is perfect for any spring event you have coming up. It also comes in a gorgeous navy and black. I love a pattern moment for spring. This patterned blouse and midi skirt set is so chic. It's perfect for an elevated spring look, or wear as separates for endless options. I am in size S/4. I wore it to an art event and got so many compliments on it. Also, wear the skirt with a white blouse and the printed blouse with white jeans. So many possibilitites!

This stitched cardigan is the perfect layer. Above I styled it over this blue button embellished tee and these denim trousers. It's one of my go-to outfits of the day for spring. I wear a size S top/sweater and 27 jeans.

Talk about beach vibes. This seashell print maxi skirt set is easy, breezy, and perfect for upcoming summer vacay. I'm in a size S.

I bought this cropped button down shirt in London when I lost my luggage, and I have been wearing it on repeat! It's so flattering and chic. I styled it with white jeans for an easy spring look. I'm in size 4 top and 27 jeans.

We are now in the season where a monochromatic all-white look is in! Above I styled these cropped white jeans with this white ruffle sleeve top for a cute everyday look. Size down from your usual size. I'm in an XS in both.

Another everyday look I have been wearing on repeat that I got for my Greece cruise. These khaki crop pants and this striped button down blouse are must-haves for an elevated style perfect for a lunch date, coffee meeting, and more. I'm in size S/4.

How adorable is this ruffle shirt dress?? This is definitely a LBD I will wear on repeat this spring and summer. I also love this cotton cashmere sweater. It is the perfect weight for warmer temps. Plus, you wouldn't believe it's under $40! Both pieces come in several color options. I am in size S in both.

Mothers Day is only three weeks away (May 10)! Its a great time to really reflect and appreciate what your mom has done for you. For those of you who are new here, I lost my mother about 8 years ago and I got personal about the loss in this post. If youre still fortunate enough to have your mother in your life, Ive curated some gift ideas for you in this post. Here are some of my favorite items and investments during this sale. I'm listing them out by category.

Sephora Must-Haves

HAIR

If you're looking to up your hair styling game, then Chris McMillan products are a must. Their smooth blowdry spray and styling wand I use to tame any fly aways or when battling frizz. This is also a great time to invest in the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer. Yes, it is worth the price. It dries my hair in half the time! You might want to think about the other Dyson hair products too, especially since these type things never go on sale. The T3 curling iron is what I use to curl my hair and is also on the sale, and Olaplex products are a great treatment for your hair.

MAKE-UP

A newer brand I've been using a lot recently is Tower 28. All of their beauty products are clean and work SO well. I love their mascara and lip gloss. I another mascara I love is Grande Cosmetics. Their lash serum is a must.

As for concealer, my go-to is Pat McGrath's concealer. A little bit goes a long way! I use color L5. So good! Another amazing brand you can find at Sephora is tarte. I use their Shape Tape concealer stick on the regular. Merit Beauty's complexion stick has been a new product I've really loved. It's so easy to apply and has been a best seller.

Charlotte Tilbury occupies the most space in my make-up drawer and rightfully so. I love all of her products! I get endless questions about what lipstick I wear - it's her 'Pillow Talk' Lipstick.

BODY

Sephora also carries my favorite products from L'Occitane. Both their shower oil and hand cream are amazing and give you the softest skin. And of course I love their luxurious bubble bath. Another go-to brand I use is U Beauty. Their body products have noticeably decreased my crepe-y skin. Their face resurfacing serum is also on my daily rotation. I'm definitely adding their products to my shopping bag! In this blog post, I talked about the Necessaire skincare line. These are skincare products that I love and use daily, making it the perfect time to stock up.

TAN

We are approaching summertime, so tanning products are essential. Several of the self tanners that we discussed in this blog post are from Sephora. The Isle of Paradise products are really good if you're wanting to try a new product. And of course, don't forget sunscreen to protect yourself.

Luxury Travel Guide: Athens to Athens Cruise Through Greece & Istanbul with SilverSea

If theres one trip that completely stole our hearts this year, its our Athens to Athens cruise with Silversea. You know I love a beautiful destination, but pairing that with ultra-luxury cruising? Why Choose an Athens to Athens Cruise?

Theres something so effortless about starting and ending in the same city, especially when that city is Athens. It takes the stress out of travel logistics and lets you fully immerse yourself in the journey. We've also never been to Greece or Turkey so this cruise checked all the boxes. At this time of year, there are no non-stop flights out of Dallas so we routed with American Airlines/British Air through London.

What makes this specific route so special is the variety. Youre not just hopping between islands, youre exploring mainland Greece, diving into cultural hubs, and even stepping into another continent with a stop in Istanbul. Its the kind of itinerary that feels curated, not rushed. And when you pair that with Silversea? At this stage of life, Pete and I are looking for educational opportunities, culture and immersion. We certainly got that!

Life On Board Silversea Muse

Lets talk about the ship, because honestly its a destination in itself. Silversea is known for its intimate, all-inclusive luxury experience, and it truly lives up to the reputation. Think spacious suites, personalized butler service, incredible dining, and a level of attention to detail that makes you feel completely taken care of.

What we loved: The smaller ship size, the personalized service with a butler for our stateroom who knew exactly what we wanted, the all-inclusive aspect and the incredible food with eight restaurants to choose from. Dinner is simply a dinner reservation in your favorite spot. No assigned tables. No assigned dining time. It can even be room service, which is offered 24/7. We highly recommend making dinner reservations at each restaurant to experience all of them. Our favorite is La Dame but all of them offer exceptional experiences. Be sure to visit Silver Note, Kaiseki, The Grill (by the pool), La Terrazza, S.A.L.T. Kitchen (Sea and Land Taste) featuring local cuisine that changes daily and Atlantide. There is also a pizza oven casual spot at Spaccanapoli. We also did grab and go coffee and pastries each morning at Arts Cafe.

The Silver Muse can accommodate 632 guests with 415 crew. It was built in 2017 and refurbished in 2025. All suites are verandah suites offering fresh air and a beautiful view. There are endless things to do on board including the Zagara Beauty Spa and fitness center, Arts Cafe for an afternoon tea and great reading spot, bingo, trivia, bridge and other card games, live music and much more. As far as excursions go, SilverSea does all the hard work for you. You'll be offered between 10-15 excursions at every port. Some are short, some last all day long. There are Included Excursions, Highlight Experiences and Signature Experiences. Additionally, Silversea can arrange for private and semi-private guides at each port with their own vehicle. You truly control the experiences you will have. Pete and I did a mix of these excursions during our 11 day/10 night journey.

Its the kind of experience where you can be as active or relaxed as you want. Some mornings we explored ancient ruins, and others we lingered over coffee on our private veranda watching the coastline drift by. It's the best of both worlds! With over 900 destinations on all 7 continents, you are likely to find several voyage itineraries you will like on their small ships. The total fleet is 12 ships strong offering both classic cruises and expedition cruises.

Athens (Piraeus)

Our journey began in Athens, departing from the port of Piraeus. I always recommend arriving at least a day early in case you encounter travel disruption. You don't want to get on the ship stressed out from a missed connection. We didn't explore Athens before we boarded mainly because that day, March 25. was a national holiday in Greece. It's their Independence Day! We explored on the backend of our trip (more below). We stayed one night at the Grand Hyatt Athens and it was the perfect spot to get a good night's sleep, shower, have breakfast and then get ready to sail. By the way, it's not far from The Acropolis and you have a beautiful view from the rooftop dining room.

Mykonos

Mykonos is exactly what you imaginewhitewashed buildings, blue domes, and winding cobblestone streets that feel straight out of a postcard. We signed up for the Mykonos Town Highlights on Foot excursion and it was the perfect length for our first port (only 2 1/2 hours long with a local guide). A great overview if you will. It's the perfect wandering town with cute boutiques and coffee shops. Visit the beaches and don't miss the beautiful view of Little Venice and the windmills. We got to see the Folklore Museum and ended our tour in a local cafe with refreshments. Every port offers free time to shop and explore on your own. In the summer, Mykonos comes alive as a party island with lots of nightlife. It's also the most well known island in Greece.

Tanya's Tip: Wear blue & white for the perfect pictures!

Volos

Volos was one of those unexpected ports of the trip. Its not as widely talked about as some of the islands, but thats exactly what makes it so special. Located at the foot of Mount Pelion, it offers a completely different vibelush, green, and a bit more local. You'll spend time exploring traditional villages in the mountains through the Traditional Pelion Villages excursion. Quaint little villages with cute outdoor markets and coffee shops. If youre someone who loves discovering hidden gems, this stop will surprise you in the best way. We went to the town of Portaria which has a church with beautiful 16th century frescos. There is lots of walking up a steep hill on this tour so I definitely got my steps in that day.

Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki feels like Greeces cultural heartbeat. Its vibrant, youthful, and full of history layered into every corner. You'll easily discover Byzantine churches and ancient ruins in this area of Greece. Because we love history, we did the 8 hour In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great excursion. It's a full day but we loved the museum in Pella, the outdoor sights and the tomb of King Philip II of Macedonia dating from 335 B.C. This area is the birthplace of Alexander the Great and the second capital of ancient Macedonia. For 250 years Pella was the cultural center of the Greek world. You really get a feel for ancient Greece! This tour ended with a stop for local Greek food in a lovely restaurant and it was divine. This is where I fell in love with traditional Greek Salad and couldn't get enough! We were gone all day and I think we were the last group to board the ship before we sailed that evening.

Istanbul

This stop felt like stepping into a completely different world in the best way possible. Istanbul is where East meets West, and you can feel that fusion everywhere from the architecture to the food to the energy of the city. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Spice Market, the Hippodrome and Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts are not to be missed. We hired a private guide for a half day tour of Istanbul and got so much done. This was all arranged through SilverSea and well worth the price. The guide (Cuneyt Sadic) comes with a driver and car and everyone speaks English fluently. He knew the ins and outs of getting into the Mosque quickly and avoiding long lines. Did I mention he was a double PhD? Talk about knowledgeable!

Its vibrant, bustling, and absolutely unforgettable. We were so glad that this port was on the itinerary for 2 full days and 2 nights as there is so much to do and see. At night, we signed up for two amazing excursions all arranged through SilverSea. The first night we did the Whirling Dervish and Local Dining Experience. The traditional, religious dance is fascinating to watch seeped in tradition. The dinner was a Michelin recognized restaurant with a traditional Turkish dinner served family style. The second night was really special. We did the Dinner at Ciragan Palace experience and it was magical. Both nights accommodated small groups of 20-25 people and we were so glad we signed up for both. While it's now a hotel, it was once the palace during the Ottoman Empire and it is absolutely breathtaking.

Istanbul is very cosmopolitan, blending culture and religion seamlessly. We never felt out of place and we were eager to learn how Islam and Christianity coexist here. Our guide did a great job letting us know when we needed to adhere to any customs such as covering my head when I entered the Mosque. I had my Hermes scarf with me for that very reason. It's definitely a country we would like to visit again.

If you are in the market for a Turkish rug, be sure to visit Nakkas Oriental Rugs & Textiles for the whole experience. I learned to weave with the traditional Turkish 2 loop knot. They ship internationally and I would have purchased one had I needed one. Their pieces are beautiful!

Rhodes

Rhodes brings you back to that classic Greek island charm, but with a medieval twist. The Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and walking through it feels like stepping back in time. Its the perfect blend of history and relaxation, which is exactly what I love in a destination. We really lucked out on this day as we signed up for Northern Rhodes Off Road Adventure, I'm not sure what we were expecting but it was 4 guests with a private guide in a Land Rover. He basically took us all over the north side, into the mountains and beaches on roads big vehicles couldn't access. We got an unobstructed and up close view of Rhodes! We stopped at a local coffee establishment for a little break, looked at local churches and small villages and wound up at the most delicious family owned restaurant for lunch in Platania Village called Perama. The authentic Greek Taverna still has me dreaming of our delicious meal!

Rhodes was never on our radar as something we needed to see. But we were pleasantly surprised and it wound up being one of our favorite ports!

Santorini

Unfortunately, we were not able to stop in Santorini due to high winds. One of the things to know about travel is that things change due to weather. The SilverSea Captain and crew did a great job warning us about the weather and high winds and kept us very safe. This just gave us an extra day at sea, which gave us more time to explore the Silver Muse and indulge in all she has to offer. Which meant more time at the spa for me!

Returning to Athens

Ending back in Athens felt like coming full circle. We felt like our 11 day/10 night cruise through the Aegean Sea was just the right amount of time for us. We decided this was the time we wanted to spend exploring Athens as we had a free day before our flight home. I connected with the concierge at the Grand Hyatt Athens to book a private guide for half a day to hit the Athens highlights. I want to give a quick shout out to Nancy Makri for arranging a perfect day for us. Our guide was Stella Syrou, who specialized in archeology and art history. I can't think of anyone better to do The Acropolis and Acropolis Museum with. While it looks high and difficult to climb, its well laid out with stairs slowly ascending in a manner that anyone can do. The entire site is so well thought out for touring and absolutely worth the climb. Once we returned and freshened up, Nancy had made reservations for us at a traditional Greek seafood restaurant near the port on the water. This was our last meal in Athens and absolutely a spectacular way to end our trip. I highly recommend working with the concierge at your hotel for recommendations and reservations. Also, we used UBER everywhere in Athens and it was highly reliable and easy. It also linked through and provided a yellow cab.

Tanya's Tip: Purchase your Acropolis and Museum tickets ahead online HERE as they are timed entries. This enables you to skip the purchase line when you get there. At the time of this writing, Acropolis tickets were 30 Euros per person for general admission and 20 Euros per person for the museum. We highly recommend both.

Why This Cruise Is Worth It

If youve been considering a Mediterranean cruise, this Athens to Athens itinerary is truly one of the best ways to experience the region. It's a perfect mix of iconic and lesser-known destinations, seamless travel without constant packing and unpacking, a luxurious onboard experience that enhances every moment and the ability to explore multiple cultures in one trip. I think that luxury cruises offer 5 star accommodations while you get to explore a lot in a short amount of time. I am no longer at the age where I want to pack and unpack every 3 days trying to get it all in while on one trip. Luxury, small ships provide the best of all worlds.

This trip reminded me why I love travel so much. Its not just about the places you see, its also about how you feel while youre there. From the elegance of Silversea to the beauty of each destination, this Athens to Athens itinerary was truly unforgettable. Its the kind of experience that stays with you long after you return home. Pete and I are still talking about all the things we learned while exploring

What I Packed for Two Weeks in Greece and Turkey

Good morning! ICYMI ... Pete and I were on a Silver Sea cruise that traveled to Greece and Turkey for the past two weeks! This was the 12 day cruise of a lifetime. I will give you a full blog post detailing the trip itinerary next week, but in the meantime I thought I would share what I packed for two weeks in Greece and Turkey. I have daytime looks, evening dinner looks, as well as what I wore for travel days. Not traveling anytime soon? No problem. These looks are perfect anywhere this spring.

Daytime Looks

Let's start with a great daytime look perfect for a sunny day out exploring. This ruched gingham dress (size S) is so pretty and perfect for spring! I styled it with a cable knit sweater, sandals, and a yellow handbag for a pop of color. I'll live in this dress all summer long!

This ribbed Spanx half zip and wide leg pant loungewear set (size S) was perfect for a day out walking and exploring. I also wore it for our long travel day. I featured this look as well as other great travel looks here. Y'all, its so soft!

It's all about the layers for this trip! As a base layer, I styled this linen button down top with these jeans (size 4) and Adidas sneakers for walking. I layered this cashmere travel wrap for an easy remove-able layer for a day of exploring. Plus, its such a great accessory on the plane when you get cold. It comes in lots of colors.

The perfect look to take us from a day of walking straight to happy hour! This linen shirt (size S) and khaki pants (size 4) with these sneakers was a perfect combo. I layered with this denim jacket and finished off the look with my new orange leather crossbody.

It wouldn't be a cruise without a spa and a lovely whirlpool. If you don't already have a Hunza G swimsuit, you need one! They're so flattering and give you great tan lines. Plus, it's one size fits all! I have this one in bubblegum pink too.

Greece was a little chilly this time of year, so layers were a must. For an easy monochromatic look, I paired this white cable knit sweater with these white wide leg jeans (fit TTS) and a white hat. I finished off my look with these sneakers and a denim jacket for an extra layer.

For another layered look, I swapped my white jeans for my khaki pants and wore them with Adidas sneakers. I wanted an extra layer, so I styled my sweater over this linen button down top. Mixing and matching is essential for efficient packing!

This look was perfect for a rainy day full of walking! I styled these sweatpants (size S) with a white tee, denim jacket, and my Adidas sneakers. I finished off the look styling an Hermes scarf as a necktie.

Classic and chic, this was a great look for a day on the ship. I styled this striped button down blouse with these denim pants and slide sandals.

The cutest set for an easy daytime look. I wore this blue tee with this linen skort and this stitched cardigan (all size S). These pieces are great for mixing and matching throughout traveling.

A striped shirtdress (size 6) is a classic piece for evening. I styled it with my new Chanel slide sandals and a coin necklace to add an elegant touch. I'll wear this all summer. So stylish and easy.

Elegant and feminine, this floral maxi dress (size S) was the perfect evening look for a lovely dinner event in Istanbul. I styled it with this blue stitch cardigan (size S), sandals, statement earrings, and this yellow handbag.

Ok how stunning is this blue and pink pinstripe maxi dress (size S)!?! Talk about a showstopper! It was the perfect dress for an elevated evening look. I styled it with these strappy silver heels and these chandelier statement earrings.

I have to tell you about this floral eyelet dress (size S). Not only is it a dress, but it also comes with shorts, giving you the option to wear the dress as more of a duster. So chic! I paired it with these woven Mary Jane flats and my coin statement necklace.

This printed mini dress (size S) is a great daytime to evening piece. I will definitely be wearing it all spring!

An embroidered dress (size S) is always a good idea in Greece! I loved the color and style of this one. Plus, I love that it has long sleeves for breezy nights at sea. I styled it with these heeled sandals and statement earrings. This dress runs large.

Linen is the way to go for an easy daytime to dinner look. This striped linen shirtdress (size S) is so cute and flattering on any body type. I styled it with these bangles and sandals for a chic look.

Easy Travel Day Looks

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice Easter holiday weekend. Summer is just around the corner, so that means many of you need to start your packing lists. Whenever we take trips, I get so many questions in regards to what to wear. Travel outfits are definitely a challenge, so I thought I would share comfortable yet put together looks for traveling this spring and summer. The key is to look cute but also feel cozy!

Travel Day Style Ideas

I love this Spanx half zip and wide leg pant set (size M) in a lighter neutral for spring and summer travel. Plus, it is made out of a cozy ribbed material that gives it an elevated look. It can easily take you from the plane to exploring the town. I paired it with these sneakers (my newest go-to travel shoes), this puffer tote bag, and my Tumi carry-on luggage.

This is one of those travel outfits youll reach for again and again. This Vuori crewneck sweatshirt and joggers (size S) are breathable, lightweight, and perfect for staying comfortable while still looking put-together. I've worn it on a 12+ hour travel day as well as while exploring NYC last month. Above I'm wearing these Adidas sneakers (as seen on my best travel shoes list) and packed using my Tumi luggage and travel backpack.

This is a great travel look if youre heading straight into your day after landing. An easy cap sleeve top, cuffed jeans, and Adidas sneakers is a comfortable and on-the-go everyday style. For my weekend trip, I used this carry-on luggage and a monogrammed puffer tote.

This classic travel outfit is equal parts polished and comfortable. Start with jeans and this no-iron button down shirt (size 0.5). The no-iron shirts truly do not wrinkle, making it perfect for traveling and still looking fresh. Add on a lightweight layer, like this cable-knit sweater and pink drivers for staying comfortable on the plane while still looking put-together on arrival. Just add this monogrammed tote bag as the perfect carry-on bag.

This is a great option if you prefer a more versatile, layered look. Its comfortable enough for travel but allows you to land and go straight to lunch without needing to change. Above I styled this yellow cardigan (similar options here and here) with a button down camp shirt, cuffed jeans, and raffia slide sandals. I traveled with this carry-on luggage and this duffle bag that doubles as a garment bag. And it's under $100!

You can never go wrong with a simple black dress for travel. Adding a denim jacket gives you an easy layer for the plane. It's the perfect lightweight throw on that you'll want to wear again on your trip. Style it with these ballet flats, also on my best travel shoes list, along with either a layered coin necklace or a chic neck scarf. For these travel days I used this carry-on luggage.

Happy Easter Weekend! Are you celebrating Good Friday? Today I want to switch it up and focus on home decor. Do you ever wonder if your house needs a little refresh? The answer is YES and this is the perfect time to focus on some spring home decor updates. I want to share a few home pieces and some tips on how to update your home. Easy Home Decor Updates

The easiest way to update your home is with pops of color. Right now is a great time to add spring tones like blues, greens or yellows. You can do that with pillows, wall art, candles, you name it. My personal favorite way to add color is with pillows. This floral scalloped pillow is an easy way for you to add color, while this velvet edge pillow is an easy way to add subtle change to your home. You can also buy pillow covers instead of new pillows, like this fringe pillow cover. This is a great way to change up your home each season without having to buy new pillows. Throw blankets are another great way to add color and texture to your home for a little refresh without breaking the bank. You can also update your bedding with these border frame sheets to freshen up your space.

Simply changing items out can also make a big difference. Switch out the towels you use every day for some colorful or seasonal ones, like these floral hand towels. You can even swap your your towel holder for this gorgeous gold floral one. You can also add some new glasses or mugs to match your updated home decor. Items that go on surfaces like a marble dish, colorful trays, or vases also work well. Also, never underestimate the power of adding fresh candles a new coffee table book, or picture frames to a fresh look for a new season. Lastly, bring the outdoors in. Add a faux or real plant to make it feel more spring-like in your home. We updated the wallpaper in our dining room last year and it totally transformed the room!

I always say that its best to keep your house completely updated because you never know when you might want/need to sell it. Besides updating our dining room, we've also updated our pool and guest bedroom within the past few years. It makes a huge difference!

Black and White Pieces for Summer

Contrary to what many may think, black is not too dressy for daytime. They are perfect for luncheons, daytime events or an easy throw on for a cute work look. And it is definitely not boring! One dress I love is this black flutter sleeve dress. It is the perfect, effortless dress that is easy to dress up or down. Plus, it has pockets! It comes in six other gorgeous color options. I own it in both black and lilac. Another black dress I love is this black sleeveless dress. The collar and button up front give it a classy daytime look. Our Backyard & Pool Transformation with Frontgate

Recently I have been getting so many questions on my Instagram stories about my backyard! We updated and renovated our backyard four years ago, so I thought I would re-share all of the details before pool season is here! Some of these items are sold out, but most are still in stock. What was once an outdated pool with dated pool furniture (over 25 years old) became a relaxing oasis perfect for entertaining and summer enjoyment. Thanks to the design team at Frontgate, our dream of a resort-style backyard became a reality. They truly transformed and redefined the space. Let's take a closer look at all of the details, plus we'll dive deeper into the process. Also, be sure to read all the way through to see the details on our pool remodel and sources!

Our Backyard Transformation

Our backyard transformation became a reality thanks to the design team at Frontgate. I scheduled an appointment for their in-store shopping experience with design services at their Legacy West location. It was great because I had an opportunity to peruse the store and give them ideas as to what I liked so she got a feel for my specific taste. I had to submit the dimensions of my backyard as well as photos before the appointment so they would know what to work with. By the time we were done walking through the store, we sat down in their design service area and they had selections for me to choose from. After our meeting, we corresponded through email to solidify all final selections. It was the easiest way to do a patio renovation because they use a CAD drawing to space plan. In fact, everything I selected is interchangeable making it easy for me to rearrange my furniture based on our entertainment needs. All of the furniture was delivered right to my door and was so easy to assemble. I highly recommend this route for anyone looking to remodel. Book your appointment HERE.

As far as design went, I really wanted to use blue tones since our new pool tile is blue. I also think blue is relaxing and makes the backyard a true oasis. It is so nice to step outside and feel like you are on a vacation. As for the dining furniture, I really loved the natural teak material. For the poolside seating and lounge chairs, I stuck with outdoor wicker. I mixed two collections to achieve exactly what I wanted: Palermo and Cassara. All of the furniture is high-quality and so comfortable. Since setting up the furniture, we have had numerous storms and heavy rain and everything has held up beautifully. It is definitely worth the investment!

I really love how the layout/design of the patio renovation turned out. It's really all about the details. The dining space is perfect for alfresco dining. I especially love how they added a heating lamp for cooler nights which will allow us to sit outside in cooler temps. Plus, the rug really ties the whole area together. Another space where the outdoor rug ties the space together is the pool sitting area. It is the best space for a happy hour. The lanterns give the perfect ambience for late night entertaining with a poolside view.

The soleil chairs are another amazing addition to our outdoor area. They're perfect for getting your tan on while also staying cool in the water. For those wanting a pool break, the Palermo chaise lounge chairs are amazing. They are so comfortable and resort quality. I especially love how the design team added an umbrella table next to the outdoor wicker swivel chairs. This area is perfect for drinks poolside, reading or further seating when entertaining. The whole space really makes you feel like you are staying in a resort. It turned out exactly how we wanted thanks to the design team at Frontgate.

Of note, it was important to me to get furniture covers for all of our new furniture. Fortunately, Frontgate makes them and they are labeled. Come winter, we will simply cover all of our furniture and know it is is protected. Also, Pete put most of the furniture together and said that every piece is well-made with all parts included in the shipment. Nothing was ever missing. This speaks to Frontgate's shipping and delivery details.

Pool Remodel: We worked with Billy Fritz at Tile Concepts, Inc. to update our pool. We built our pool 26 years ago and felt it had lived its life. Our pool furniture was also 26 years old and although it held up well, I wanted something completely different. It was time for updated plaster, coping, tile and decking. Billy works directly with Giovanni Govea who does the decking. We selected Tile Concepts, Inc. because they only do remodels. They do not build new pools. The pool remodel work started in February and took about 4-5 weeks to complete. We are very happy with the results. Here are the exact materials and colors we selected for the remodel. 214-676-9668

Before Pool Remodel

We built this pool 26 years ago and it served us well. The main thing I wanted to update was the deck. Once I met with Billy at Tile Concepts, Inc., he encouraged me to fill in the hot tub since we never used it. That gave us the idea to have a much larger sundeck which would be much more functional.

After Pool Remodel

Removing the wrought iron fence really opened up the entire backyard. Once that was gone, I felt like the dark pool furniture that we originally purchased 26 years ago was too heavy of a look/feel for our new pool. We definitely got our use out of it.

I know that trying florals and patterns can be daunting. You may not know how to wear them, you may be worried about the print looking too busy, or you may have never worn them before. Whatever the reason, Im here to help. I've been in the same place before.

The easiest way to add florals and patterns is with a dress. This floral linen midi dress is gorgeous! It's perfect for a vacation or fast-approaching summertime events. If you prefer to have sleeves then this floral belted shirtdress is a great alternative. For a shorter dress, I love is this striped poplin dress. It's perfect for a spring daytime event. Other chic dress I love includes this ruffle floral shirtdress and this floral tie neck midi dress, both of which are under $100. Floral dresses are perfect for all events you have coming up showers, Derby parties, graduations, you name it.

What to Pack for Spring in New York City

It's approaching springtime in New York City! Two weeks ago Pete and I spent a long weekend in NYC and were pleasantly surprised by the warm weather we received. We expected winter weather, but what we got was perfect spring days. Since I just went, I figured I would share a New York City packing list with you that is perfect for spring. These looks are also great pieces to have in your spring wardrobe.

We had so much fun on our 4 day/3 night trip. We specifically went because I wanted to see Jonathan Groff in Just In Time before he ends his run on March 29. Ther show is spectacular! Check out this Instagram post, it gives you a little mini travel guide with everything we did in the caption.

New York City Packing List

A monochromatic denim set is so chic for spring. Above I styled a denim vest top with these denim pants (size 4) and silver pumps. It was the perfect look to take me from exploring to an elevated lunch and everything in between. Check out another monochromatic denim look for spring here.

These khaki pants (size 4) were a best seller after I wore these on my trip. They are so comfortable and stayed looking fresh after a long day of walking. I styled them with this mock neck sweater tee (size S), a classic black cardigan, and these sneakers.

Another best seller from my trip was this puff sleeve shirt (size S). It's a unique twist on a classic style. I paired it with these denim trousers (size 27) and denim ballet flats.

For our main walking day, I wanted something more relaxed and cozy. I paired these sweatpants with this crewneck sweatshirt (both size S) for an elevated loungewear style. These leather sneakers I wore have been another best seller. I wore them on repeat and had no blisters or issues with comfort. Pete wore these brown leather sneakers and also had no issues with comfort!

I know it's time to start dressing for warmer weather, but this tie waist coat was essential for chilly evenings in New York. Plus, it's on major SALE! I recommend buying for next year. Of course I love the gorgeous shade of blue I have on, but it also comes in three other color choices.

This lace trim blouse (size S) is perfection for spring. I styled it with these white straight leg jeans (size 27), denim ballet flats, and this Dior handbag. I wore this for high tea at Tiffany's and it was perfect!

I styled this look for our trip home. If you have a later flight this is an easy style to wear for exploring prior to travel. I'm wearing these denim trousers (size 27), a black cardigan over a white tee, and sneakers. I wore all of these pieces in previous looks, so it just goes to show that packing mix and match pieces makes for an easier packing experience.

Spring Looks for Less | Under $100!

Good morning! I think it's safe to say we are officially into spring weather here in Dallas, so today I want to look at pieces that are must-haves for spring. These are the perfect styles and weight to take you to any event you have this spring. Even better is that these items are under $100!

Last week I attended the AVARA spring launch event and it was fabulous. Not only did I get to see and catch up with my influencer friends, but I also was inspired by so many gorgeous outfit ideas for the spring season.
