Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Best of Home & Gifts

Today we will look at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale best of home and gifts. The home collection is amazing this year, so take advantage of these selections. TIP: This is the perfect time to stock up on hostess gifts, birthday gifts or even get a head start on Christmas gifts (yikes!) and save them in your gift closet. You will always be prepared. As a general rule, I always get items that I use all year long. If you know you're going to use them anyways, why not get them on sale?

NSale Home & Gifts

Even when it's not the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, Nordstrom is my go-to location to quickly find anything I need. I think people often forget that Nordstrom also has an incredible HOME and GIFT department. These are perfect for my home and also great to give as gifts!

Some of my favorite home items are travel items! This is the best time to update your luggage game. This duffle bag is great quality and all for only $94. I also recommend this Tumi carry-on luggage (Reg $795/Sale $549). Tumi is the brand of luggage I use. It is a great investment! You can even get a leather luggage tag (Reg $75/Sale $49) or a travel jewelry case (Reg $25/Sale $15) on the sale, both of which make great gifts.

This is also a great time to stock up on everyday home items, like this towel set (Reg $109/Sale $72) or this luxury sheet set. You can also find everyday items like this luxury cleaning essentials set (Reg $80/Sale $49) on the sale. Luxury hand soap (Reg $110/Sale $58) is another great gift for everyone and a must-have for your home.

Another great home and gift item on the sale are these Nest diffusers (Reg $130/Sale $78). I always have Nest candles in my home, and this is the next best thing. Volupsa candles (Reg $38/Sale $24) are always a good buy and make for good gifts to have on hand.

You can also find tons of great kitchen items to elevate your kitchen decor or add new appliances like this cold brew machine (Reg $695/Sale $465) or this Our Place Wonder Oven (Reg $325/Sale $242). I also love the NSale's drinkware selection, like this colorful tumbler set (Reg $71/Sale $47). Another favorite that I own are the Eli Home cutting boards. These are great cutting board sets that are high-quality and dishwasher safe.

The sale also has an amazing selection of throw blankets. This Cozy Earth faux fur throw blanket (Reg $248/Sale $149) is new to the sale and SO good. Trust me, it's worth the price! This Ugg throw blanket is another great option for under $50! It would also make a great gift. This 'Ciao Bella' throw blanket (Reg $210/Sale $139) is also so cute, plus it doubles as a towel.

If you need a refresher on the dates of the sale plus tips and tricks, be sure and read HERE. Today I'll go through popular items that sell out quickly so that you can navigate the sale with ease. Be sure and read all the way through so you don't miss any must-have items!

Athleisure and More: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Before we get started, I want to remind you that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale prices do not last! After the sale ends on August 9, the price will go back to the original. None of these items will permanently be on sale! I also want to note the brands that sell out QUICKLY:

Shorts are another item that sells out quickly. These Vuori shorts (Reg $74/Sale $54) are super cute and at a great price. If you want an amazing lounge pant, then you will love these Spanx AirEssentials wide leg pants (Reg $120/Sale $78) that I'm wearing above. I own them in black and chocolate brown and wear them all the time, especially when traveling. They also have Spanx AirEssentials shorts (Reg $68/Sale $45) on the sale this year, which I will be adding to my cart. Pair them with the Spanx AirEssentials half zip sweatshirt (Reg $128/Sale $85) for an everyday athleisure look. Zella also has many great jackets on sale this year, like this 3-in-1 trench coat (Reg $199/Sale $132) and this piped half zip pullover (Reg $99/Sale $65).

Don't forget about all of the amazing athletic accessories that are on sale. This crossbody bag (Reg $78/Sale $57) is super cute and great to have year round. It's also a great time to stock up on sports bras, athletic socks and hair ties!

Happy SATURDAY! Today starts PUBLIC ACCESS. That means everyone gets to shop, no matter if you're a cardholder! All of my selections are in the drop-down menu on my homepage. So far we have covered WOMEN'S, UNDER $100, and UNDER $50 and today's focus is BEAUTY. Y'all...Nordstrom Anniversary Sale beauty exclusives are SO good this year. They are offering so many of my all time favorites. My opinion is, if they are products you regularly use, why not get it on sale? It is the perfect time to stock up! The beauty exclusives are always so good and sell out quickly, so if you see something you love, dont delay.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Best of Beauty

Beauty Tools

Let's start with some beauty tools. When thinking of tools, I tend to think mirrors. The Simplehuman Sensor Mirror (Reg $200/Sale $150) is a wonderful mirror that I own. It has 5x magnification and lights up automatically as your face approaches. I love how the light simulates natural sunlight!

Hair Care

There are some amazing haircare options you'll want to act on! Some amazing hair tools are the T3 hairdryer (Reg $209/Sale $140), the T3 Airebrush (Reg $149/Sale $99), and the T3 curling iron (Reg $159/Sale $107). If you're looking for a good straightener this NSale, I recommend the T3 straightener (Reg $199/Sale $133). The Dyson hairdryer (Reg $549/Sale $439) is another fantastic sale item. It is my everyday hair dryer.

Eyelash and Eyebrow Serum

I can't mention NSale beauty favorites without mentioning NeuLash Brow Conditioning Set (Reg $170/Sale $85). So good! Another favorite is the RevitaLash Advanced Conditioner duo set (Reg $200/Sale $100). If you want to thicken your lashes, this serum is for you. I use the serum every night before bed and it really works! The key is that you have to use it daily, so make it part of your nighttime skincare routine.

Make-Up

My everyday Charlotte Tilbury Make-Up are all on major sale! I use their mascara as my regular mascara and rotate it with Grande Cosmetics lash set ($131 Value, Sale $69), which is also on the sale. Bobbi Brown is another popular brand with markdowns on all of their popular products. You can also get great deals on lipstick sets, like the MAC Soft Lip Combo ($50 Value, Sale $33). Don't forget to take advantage of brush sets on sale, like this Hourglass Make-Up Brush Set ($220 Value, Sale $146). You will also want to get this Lancome Bi-Facial Eye Make-Up Remover Gift Set ($108 Value, Sale $60). It is the best eye make-up remover!

The Odyssey

OK, first things first. Our son, P.J. and I got to attend the Dallas press screening of The Odyssey on Monday night. It opens nationwide in theaters on Friday, July 17 and we highly recommend it! It's the story you're probably are familiar with as it was on your reading list in high school. - Homer's The Iliad and The Odyssey. After the Trojan War, Odysseus faces a dangerous voyage back to Ithaca, meeting creatures like the Cyclops Polyphemus, Sirens, and Calypso along the way. Writer, director and producer Christopher Nolan does epic masterpieces like no other director. The entire film is shot on 70mm IMAX and we highly recommend seeing it in an IMAX movie theater. This is a big screen film where the sound and music help take you on Odysseus' 10 year journey home. You might know this director from his other work - Interstellar, The Dark Knight (part of the Batman trilogy), Oppenheimer, Dunkirk, Inception, and more. We've long been fans of his work and this film ranks as one of his best. Click HERE to watch the trailer. Get out and go see it in a theater this weekend!

NSale Under $50

Under $100: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale AMBASSADOR EARLY ACCESS

If you are an AMBASSADOR card holder then today is your day to shop! Yesterday we looked at women's fashion, so today let's look more specifically at all of my women's favorites under $100. Even if you cannot shop yet, this is a great time to save the items you love to your wishlist. That way, you can have a quicker shopping experience and make sure you get everything you want. We update this tab and drop down menu all the time. There are so many amazing SHOES under $100 so today I focused on shoe favorites as well as listed some of my favorite affordable styles!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Under $100 Favorites

A must-have item for under $100 are Ugg slippers. They are so comfortable and they make great gifts. Plus, they come in several cute color options.

Slingbacks are another great find under $100. These Nordstrom pointed toe slingbacks (Reg $89/Sale $59) are versatile and chic. I love the textured color options. These Sam Edelman kitten heel slingbacks (Reg $150/Sale $89) are another wardrobe staple that you will wear on repeat! They come in about a dozen color choices, so you might as well get them in multiple shades.

There are so many great loafers on the sale this year, so I especially love options under $100. These Nordstrom loafers (Reg $119/Sale $69) and these Sam Edelman loafers (Reg $150/Sale $99) are two noteworthy styles that come in a bunch of colors.

Dolce Vita shoes are super cute this year. I'm loving these woven flats (Reg $150/Sale $99) and these Mary Jane flats (Reg $150/Sale $99). I also think Steve Madden shoes are great this sale. These perforated Mary Jane flats (Reg $129/ Sale $89) are a must buy.

Getting a pair of Adidas is a must. I love the cute color combos this year.

This is a reminder that items sell out FAST. I did my best to highlight items that seem to have fuller stocks, but please be patient with me if items have sold out. We still have over three weeks to shop! This is a great time to stock up on classic pieces like cashmere, jeans, shoes, and handbags. First Look: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ICON EARLY ACCESS

IT'S HERE! Today is the start of the 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale EARLY ACCESS! If you are an ICON Nordstrom card holder this is YOUR day! This is the official FIRST LOOK for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I was able to go to the store and spend time looking and feeling different items to create the best list of items to shop for during the sale. If you are not shopping today, be sure and add these items to your Wishlist. See what our "must have" items are that will surely sell out quickly. Today, let's focus on the best of women's fashion! To begin, let's talk about my selections from the collage above. As you can see, shades of green and blue are color trends this year. You will also see a lot of suede and denim pieces. First Look: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Green is a color trend this fall, so this set is a must! How gorgeous is this Veronica Beard crop jacket (Reg $648/Sale $429) and these Veronica Beard pants (Reg $498/Sale $329)? I am in love. These wide leg jeans (Reg $278/Sale $186) in pine are another great pant from the sale that will be a great addition to your fall wardrobe.

There are so many fabulous dresses on the sale this year. One that I am definitely buying is this Staud striped shirtdress (Reg $345/Sale $229). It's so cute! This Staud midi dress (Reg $295 /Sale $196) is another classic, flattering style and perfect for both summer and fall. Another beautiful summer to fall dress is this Farm Rio wrap dress (Reg $298/Sale $207). Since suede is popular this fall, you'll also need this chic suede mini dress (Reg $299/Sale $199).

Jeans are always a good buy on the NSale. Both Paige denim and FRAME denim are classics and always fit well. I also love these Veronica Beard barrel jeans (Reg $298/Sale $199) on the sale. They're high-quality and last for years.

This is a great time to purchase designer sunglasses. Above, I am wearing these Gucci sunglasses (Reg $430 /Sale $287). It's a classic shape and style that you will never see on sale otherwise!

There are some super cute sandals on the sale. One pair I'm loving are these Veronica Beard suede slide sandals (Reg $375/Sale $219). The classic Birkenstock slide sandals (Reg $174/Sale $109) are also on the sale and come in three great colors.

I am loving the chic slingbacks this year. These Rag & Bone suede slingbacks (Reg $428/Sale $224) are a must for fall. I'm also loving these Paige leather slingbacks (Reg $348/Sale $229). They also come in a gorgeous burgundy red tone.

Another Rag & Bone shoe I'm loving are these retro sneakers (Reg $298/Sale $199). They come in several color options and are the perfect way to elevate your everyday look.

I'm so excited that Hunter rain boots are now on the sale! These are my favorite boots, so I will definitely be snagging a pair.

The Ultimate 12-Day Kauai Itinerary: Where to Stay, Eat & Explore

Hello! It's Laura here! Today I will be taking over the blog to share my recent trip to the Hawaiian island of Kauai. If you're planning a trip to Kauai, this 12-day itinerary covers where to stay, the best beaches, scenic hikes, local restaurants, and can't-miss experiences. Kauai is one of the best islands to visit for the perfect blend of both adventure and relaxation. Plus, you get to see some of the most incredible scenery while enjoying the laid-back aloha spirit. I've divided the trip up into regions where we stayed and included what we did in that area, as well as other options for you to choose from that also came highly recommended. We went in June, so keep that in mind when planning. This was for our honeymoon, so we combined relaxing with some mild adventure. I have included some more adventurous options below if that's what you're looking for.

Kauai Travel Guide

How to Get There

We were traveling from Dallas, so we took the 6 AM American Airlines flight from DFW to LIH. You have an hour layover in LAX (Los Angeles) and then fly direct to LIH, Kauai's main airport. It's only about a 5 hour flight from LAX to LIH, so it makes it about a 10 hour travel day. We arrived by 11 AM so we basically had a bonus day on the island. Totally worth the painfully early flight! There are very limited direct flights from DFW to LIH, so this really is one of your best options.

Once you're there, rental car pick-up is easy. You definitely need a rental car when visiting Kauai. There is only one main road around the entire island, making it potentially longer to get places. Plus, Ubers are expensive and harder to come by. I recommend renting a Jeep Wrangler. It's perfect for the terrain, plus it's also just fun and iconic to drive around the island. At the minimum, rent a car with a 4-wheel drive!

Days 1-5: North Shore

Where to Stay

While there were other parts of Kauai that offered stunning views, I personally loved staying in the North Shore. We stayed in a condo in Princeville, which is a great area of neighborhoods with vacation homes and condos. There is a shopping center with lots of restaurants, shops, and a grocery store within walking distance, making it a great place for a long-term stay. You can find condo options on both Airbnb and Vrbo. I would book early because the highly rated rental properties book quickly.

We stayed at Sandpiper Village and enjoyed it. It's walking distance to beach areas and includes a pool and outdoor grill. Our individual condo provided beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, a cooler, and beach chairs. Plus, you receive a designated parking space. The only downside to North Shore (and why we stayed elsewhere), is that it is about a 2 hour drive from the main Kauai attractions. If you only do this drive a couple of times during your stay and space it out then I think it's totally do-able!

What to Do

Because the weather can change in a moment in the North Shore, keep your plans loose. We learned that Kauai is comprised of many micro-climates, so even the weather apps do not predict the weather accurately! We found the weather in the North Shore to be more mild than other areas of Kauai. It rained every day (and never at the same time), and would get cooler in the evenings. Even for June, you may want a lightweight jacket or over shirt. During the afternoons it is hot, so I recommend planning your activities for early mornings and resting indoors in the afternoon ... or go to a happy hour! Waking up early and getting a head start is a great way to take advantage of the jet lag. This part of the trip is definitely for resting and adjusting your body to relaxation mode and island time. While this looks like a long list of activities, it was a very low key start to our trip, with most of these activities only being about a half day at most.

Here's a more specific list of things you need to do in the North Shore:

Hanalei Bay & Beach: Wow, this beach is stunning! We went twice because of how clear and beautiful the waters were, plus it was not super crowded. While the water is chilly at first dip, it's very relaxing to wade or dip your toes in. The beach side has more waves, while the bay side is still water.

Watch the sunset at Hanalei Bay: It's a beautiful view! You can also stop along the pull-off along HI-56 that overlooks the bay (as seen above).

Tunnels Beach: This is the best beach for snorkeling in the North Shore. Get your snorkel gear the day before because you need to arrive to this beach early. There are only about 30 designated parking spots and they fill up quickly. We got our snorkel gear at Hanalei Surf and it was only $6 a day. Note: If you are not snorkeling I would not recommend this beach. It is on the rocky side and not great for swimming apart from snorkeling.

Do a tasting at Hanalei Spirits: This was a fabulous experience. It's a family-owned, local distillery, with a variety of spirits of amazing quality. This free tasting is on the owners property, done by either him or his wife, in their indoor distillery. You cannot find their products state-side. We ended up buying several bottles and local products from them. We especially loved their Lilikoi liqueur! Book your tasting here.

Visit Kilauea Lighthouse: This lighthouse is a beautiful view and a great way to see many local birds. We popped in after our tasting at Hanalei Spirits, which is close by. You can also book a tour here to see the property and learn more about the lighthouse and surrounding area.

Princeville Night Market: From 4-7 PM on the second Sunday of each month Princeville brings in artists, artisans, and food trucks for a fun evening. We ended up getting a bowl from PB Arts, an amazing wood turner who creates stunning pieces from fallen trees in Kauai. They make for great statement pieces and gifts. We were able to go to where he makes his bowls and pick out our own wood for a custom bowl (as seen above). This was an amazing experience that would not have been possible without meeting him at the market!

Explore Hanalei town: There are many local restaurants and shops in this area. It's a really great atmosphere and is quite charming. Plus, you might spot some chicks!

Other activities we did not do but were recommended:

Go to Anini Beach if you want to get in another beach day and try out a new place. It is in Kilauea, which is east of Princeville.

Visit 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay for a drink or dinner at sunset. It's a stunning 5-star hotel overlooking the beautiful views of Hanalei Bay. Valet is $20 and then you can explore the property. You can also stay there for an amazing vacation!

Hike the Kalalau Trail. This is the trail that goes along the Napali Coast and has breathtaking views. The recommendation is to hike the first 2 miles in to Hanakapiai Beach and back. You need a reservation to do this through the state park. Reservations book up fast so do this before your trip! Get your reservation here. You also need a reservation to visit Ke'e Beach, so these are activities that need to be planned ahead of time.

We did a Napali Coast boat tour out of Port Allen (South Shore), but you can also take a tour out of Hanalei.

Where to Eat

Since we were in a condo, we grilled some nights and tried to do a meal or two in each day to save money and make it easier to be flexible with plans. The main grocery store is a Foodland in Princeville. Tip: Get the poke bowls from the deli section. This is made from delicious, fresh fish. And a bowl is only $7! It's easily the best deal on the island, so we had it multiple times for lunch.

Other restaurants we tried and loved:

Hanalei Bread Company - Amazing macadamia nut sticky buns. They also have breakfast sandwiches and yogurt bowls. We also bought a loaf of bread here for sandwiches.

Holey Grail Donuts - Wow! These donuts were soooo good. I wish we would've gone more than once!

Tiki Iniki - Great little tiki bar in Princeville and probably the best mai tai we had on the island. They have happy hour from 3-4:30 PM.

Jo Jo's Shaved Ice - Our favorite shaved ice we had on the trip. They have multiple locations around the island. Their shaved ice is served over vanilla ice cream and so yummy!

We tried other restaurants, but did not love them enough to recommend. Our favorite dinner spots were in Kapa'a, which I'll feature below. If you stay in the North Shore, then Kapa'a is only about a 30 minute drive from Princeville. You can easily drive to the restaurants for dinner.

Note: Restaurants on Kauai are closed at least once or twice during the week. Some weekends, some weekdays, so check ahead especially if you're trying to eat at a specific place during your stay. Also, most places have happy hours so take advantage when you can!

Days 6-10: Central/Eastern Stay with Western Excursions

While it may have been easier to stay in the South Shore for these days, we wanted to avoid the super touristy areas. We did visit South Shore a couple of times during this leg of the trip, and it was quite packed. If you are going during a less busy season then it may be easier to stay on the South Shore to have easier access to the west coast excursions. South Shore has great restaurants and Poipu Beach is wonderful, but it depends on the type of vibe you want. I think if we were to go again I would go in February and stay half in North Shore and half in the South Shore for a relaxed stay with fewer crowds.

In Kapa'a we stayed in a condo via Vrbo close to the Coconut Marketplace, which is another area with shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. You can book a condo along the beach for an incredible view. It's not a swimmable ocean, but was pretty to sit by to watch the sunrise or stroll in the evenings. Staying in Kapa'a is much more like living amongst the locals, so if you prefer a more resort-style vacation then maybe stay elsewhere. We enjoyed it though! There is plenty to do in the area and the drives were not bad to get to the southern attractions.

What to Do

Napali Coast Boat Tour - This is a MUST. The views are insanely beautiful and you can only access this side of the island by boat or helicopter. We did the Capt Andy's Star Snorkel BBQ Sail out of Port Allen and it was fabulous. We got to see the views, snorkel, and see dolphins. They also provide both breakfast and lunch. I recommend picking the grilled chicken for lunch!

Waimea Canyon - Another must-see when visiting Kauai! It is called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Tip: Drive all the way to the top and then do lookout stops on the way down. Plan to get there early. Clouds roll around 10 AM and then you cannot see anything. And trust me, the view at the Pu'u O Kila lookout is amazing! Our route was Pu'u O Kila lookout (mile marker 19), Kalalau lookout (mile marker 18), Pu'u Hinahina lookout (mile marker 14), Pu'u Ka Pele lookout (mile marker 13), and Waimea Canyon lookout (mile marker 10). If you are feeling adventurous, then you can do the Waipo'o Falls hike at the Pu'u Hinahina lookout (mile marker 14). There are tons of lookouts and hikes along the way. You could spend the whole week just in the canyon.

Kayak Wailua River & Hike Secret Falls - This is definitely the most adventurous activity we did on the trip. I think it you feel up for it then it's definitely worth it! Again, start early. Although the falls are called secret, they are not. We found a kayak rental at 7 AM and it was definitely worth it, not only to beat the heat, but also to beat the crowds. It is a 2 mile kayak, followed by a 1.5 mile trail there and back, so it's a bit of exercise. It was easy to navigate on our own, but you can also book a tour guide for this. You must have sturdy water shoes. The trail is muddy and can be rocky. Most of it has a flat, boarded walkway, but you have to walk through a couple of shallow rivers along the way, making tennis shoes or flip flops a less than ideal choice.

See the sea turtles & watch the sunset on Poipu Beach - Every night just before sunset, about 10 sea turtles head to the shore to rest and sleep. It is very cool to see. Also, the sunset on Poipu Beach is stunning. We saw the most beautiful double rainbow I've ever seen!

Take a Kauai Coffee Company farm tour - We booked this last minute to do on our travel day between condos. It was so worth it! Not only is the property stunning, but the tour was so informative. Also, the coffee was amazing. Did you know that the closer to the coast the beans are grown the less acidic the coffee is? This gives Kauai Coffee beans a rich, smooth taste. Book your tour here.

Explore Old Koloa Town - This area has a lot of great shops and restaurants. We got several souvenirs here, including from Kauai Gourmet Nuts.

Visit Hanapepe - This is an older part of the island where Lilo & Stitch was based out of. Every Friday night is the Hanapepe Art Night from 5-9 PM. We went on a night where there was not much of a crowd, but we still enjoyed a pineapple dole whip and watched a group of Hawaiian musicians.

Do a tasting at Lydgate Farms - They have the most incredible chocolate! It melts in your mouth and is premium quality. We especially loved their chocolate-covered macadamia nuts. It is all fresh from the island and so delicious. We visited the tasting room in Kapa'a, but you can also book a more extensive chocolate farm tour here.

There is tons more to do in this part of Kauai, but we have no regrets on our activity choices. Other options would be to visit Wailua Falls or Fern Grotto, go watch the sunset at the furthest western point in the US at Polihale Beach (only if your rental car is a 4WD the road in is supposed to be quite bumpy), or relax and do a tasting at Koloa Rum Company. And that's just to name a few. You can't go wrong!

Where to Eat

The Flying Saucer - This place was truly a gem. It was probably some of the best food and drinks we had on the island. It's a chic tiki bar in Kapa'a with amazing bites. Be sure and order the flying saucer!

Fish Bar Deli - Owned by the same chef as The Flying Saucer and just downstairs, this causal spot had incredible, fresh food and great cocktails. It's the perfect lunch or dinner spot and a must if you're in Kauai.

JO2 Restaurant - A great spot for fresh, fine dining. If you go from 5-6 PM you have the option to get a 3-course meal for $55. The tuna belly was amazing.

Puka Dogs - This is on the South Shore right by Poipu Beach. You will have to wait in line, but it's worth it! These hot dogs are amazing.

Kauai Menehune Kitchen - This place is in Old Hanapepe and so delicious. We found it on accident and it was not only affordable, but also excellent traditional Hawaiian food!

Other recommendations that we did not get to:

JP's Pizza - This was recommended by a local because the pizza is apparently so good that even New Yorkers rave about it. It's near the base of Waimea Canyon but has limited hours. We tried to go on our canyon day but it was closed, so plan to visit on a day they're open!

Oasis on the Beach - Another locally recommended restaurant in Kapa'a that offers good food and live music. We were told to go on Wednesday nights for the best atmosphere and musicians.

Hukilau Lanai - A fine-dining Hawaiian restaurant in Kapa'a right on the beach. This would be great for a nicer night out.

Beach House Restaurant - Located on the South Shore, this restaurant is supposed to have one of the best views of the sunset. Plus, the food is said to be excellent.

Days 11-12: Lihue

The major hack we received was to end your trip at Marriott's Kauai Beach Club (you can also book at The Royal Sonesta Kauai it is the same property). Although staying in 3 places over 12 days feels like a lot of packing and unpacking, it did save us a lot of hassle at the end of our trip. They have a free airport shuttle and is only five minutes from the airport. We checked out of our condo, dropped off our bags at the hotel, drove to the airport and dropped off our car, and then took the shuttle back to the hotel. It was way less chaotic to do this without our bags! Once there, we checked in and although our room was not ready, we were able to enjoy the amenities. This was also great upon check out. We had a 10PM flight, so we had twelve hours to kill after checkout. The Marriott offers free access to their hospitality room with showers and lockers to use while you wait for your flight as well as full pool and beach access. Instead of being stuck in our rental car driving around for an entire day, we got to relax by the pool all day and freshen up before our flight. A win-win!

There are plenty of activities to do such as enjoy the beach, swim in the pool, or rent beach equipment. They also have daily activities on the hotel property as well as the option to book a tour to go on an excursion.

There are lot's of places to eat on the property that are tasty like Duke's Kauai (order the hula pie), Cafe Portofino, and Kai's Bar. You do not have to leave to eat, but we opted to try some other spots within walking distance. Here are some of the ones we tried and enjoyed:

Uncle D's Kauai - Really tasty BBQ perfect for lunch. It was almost like we were back in Texas!

The Musubi Truck - Great Hawaiian food for lunch or a casual dinner. They had great musubi and sushi options.

The Jammin' Banana Bakery & Cafe - Cute cafe for breakfast or brunch. They have coffee, smoothies, amazing banana bread, and breakfast sandwiches.

Island Treats & Gift Shop - Great shaved ice and ice cream!

What to Pack

Overall, Kauai is a very casual island to visit. The only area I noticed people dressing up more was at the South Shore as well as nicer restaurants. Otherwise just be cute, comfy, and stay cool!

A pair of linen shorts is a must. I wore my two pair on repeat. I styled them with a tank and layered it with this linen button down or this twill button up. Check out how Tanya wore it here.

You'll also want a few sundresses. I wore this aqua beaded dress, this white flower strap dress, and a one-shoulder maxi dress. Pack all of your fun, floral, island-inspired dresses!

Swimsuits, swimsuits, and more swimsuits. I wore Summersalt swimsuits. They held up well and are all so cute. I wore this gauze swim cover-up on repeat as well. I could wear it to the beach, a casual lunch, and more. You can size up for some more length. I also got this rash guard for kayaking and snorkeling. It's good to have on hand. You'll also want water-resistant athletic shorts for over a swimsuit on activity days or for casual day wear. Don't forget a beach tote, sunhat and sunglasses!

Sandals are a must. Unless you plan on hiking, you only need to pack sandals. I wore these black strappy sandals and these white wrap sandals for dinners. Otherwise, just casual flip flops were fine for the beach. I wore these water sandals for kayaking and Secret Falls hike as well as for walking around Waimea Canyon.

Of course, you definitely need sunscreen! You must have reef-safe sunscreen for the oceans in Kauai. I got this sunscreen, and it fit the regulations and requirements of the island. Here are other reef-safe options.

14 Ways to Tie Your Hermès Scarf

I have gotten so many requests for this post, so I am so excited to share the ways to tie your Hermès scarf! There are so many more ways than those listed today, but these are some of my absolute favorites. And it goes without saying, this blog post and scarf tie tutorial applies to any and all scarves. Today I am including 14 different ways to tie a scarf.

Now it seems obvious, but the first step to tying your Hermès scarf is to own one. When Taylor got her first, she immediately called me to ask how she should style hers. In fact, this blog post happened because she requested it. Hermes scarves are available at all Hermès stores, or I have linked other scarf options below.

To help you even more, Hermès has an APP! Silk Knots is a great resource to watch videos on how to tie your scarf. You now have endless possibilities at your finger tips so that you can tie your scarf whatever suits your look and mood for the day. I love how easy it is! Ok, now let's take a look at some of my favorite and fun ways for how to tie your scarf. Some of these are so creative!

Also, all of the pictures of me above are from old blog posts. If you click the picture it will take you to the full post. It's funny to see my style evolve over the 11 years on the blog. I'm including them because they show you how I use my Hermès scarves. Top to bottom: Belt, neck tie, choker, tied on my handbag and tied as a bracelet. With the tutorial pictures below, this gives you 15 options!

Tie Tutorial | Hermès Scarf

1. Belt Ring

This is an easy way to tie your Hermès scarf as a belt. You will need a scarf ring to make this look possible, or simply make a knot as you can see I did above.

2. Halter Top

Your Hermès scarf can also be tied as a halter top!

3. Maxi Bag

One of the most unique ways is to make your Hermès scarf into a maxi bag. This over the shoulder bag is great for carrying your everyday items in style.

4. Mini Bag

There is also a smaller purse option if you have a smaller Hermès scarf.

Another way that I like to use my scarf as a fun accessory are trying it like a bracelet that you can see here or tying it around my purse, which you can see here.

5. Large Bow Tie

A fun way to style your Hermès scarf is to tie it like a necktie bow.

6. Scout Neck Tie

I love to do this simple tie with my Hermès scarf. This neck tie looks great with a collared shirt or V-neck.

7. Cowboy Neck Tie

I love to wear my Hermès scarf with this style tie with a plain colored shirt. This scarf tie adds the wow factor to any look. It helps if you have a chic scarf ring.

8. Collar Necklace

Can't find the perfect necklace to wear with your look? Just tie your Hermès scarf into a necklace!

9. Flowing Neck Tie

When I tie my Hermès scarf in this way I feel French and elegant. I tied mine like a choker two other ways that you can see here and here.

10. Mini Skirt

You can even tie your Hermès scarf like a mini skirt with these easy steps.This requires a larger scarf.

11. Sixties-Style Headband

Having a bad hair day? Tie your Hermès scarf as a headband! I wore my scarf as a headband during my trip to Aruba that you can see here. It really helps with the Caribbean humidity and controlling my frizzy hair!

12. Small Choker

This is another classic style that can instantly elevate your look. This style is best with a neck scarf or other small scarf.

Stylish All White Outfits For Summer 2026

Happy J U L Y! It's almost Fourth of July weekend. And even more exciting is that it's America's 250th birthday! What do you have planned for this special holiday weekend? Some of you may already be enjoying your vacation, so today let's relax and talk summer fashion. More specifically, let's look at my favorite stylish all white outfits for summer. I love to wear all white ensembles during the summer. It screams sophistication and chic! Not to mention that wearing a monochromatic look is always easy on the eye. All White Outfits

One of the easiest all white outfits is a dress. I love this linen button-down sundress. It is a classic piece and so elegant. Another white dress I'm loving is this belted linen midi dress. You can't get through summer without white bottoms. Currently I am loving these linen pants. They are so lightweight and perfect for summer, plus they're under $40. I own this pair in blue but definitely need another pair in white. You also need a pair of white jeans and a pair of white shorts. They go with everything! For a chic all-white column look, pair them with a classic white blouse like this linen button down blouse. I also love this seashell embroidered tank for summertime. The pearl details are so pretty! Pair it with these pearl cluster earrings for a classic, sophisticated look.

Next let's talk white shoes and accessories. Some of you know that I am not a huge fan of white shoes, but I do love a chic white sandal like these white strappy sandals. Top 5 Fourth of July Activities

1. Host a Backyard BBQ with All the Red, White & Blue Decor
Theres just something about a good old-fashioned backyard BBQ that screams Fourth of July. Pull out your gingham tablecloths, patriotic plates, and string lights for an easy and festive setup. I love using cute serving trays to pull everything together. Bonus points for a signature cocktailanything with berries or bubbles will do!

2. Watch Fireworks from the Best Spot in Town
I dont know about you, but I feel like it's not 4th of July without a good fireworks show. Find out where the big display is happening near you and make a night of it. Pete always hosts a fun Kaboomtown gathering at his airplane hangar at Addison Airport on July 3. It's such an amazing fireworks show and really kicks off the 4th of July!

3. Dress the Part
You know I cant resist a themed outfit! Think breezy dresses, cute sets, or a classic all white outfitadd a red lip or statement earrings to bring in the patriotic flair. It's typically in July, so take advantage of this earlier sale to kick off summer. Pretty much the "Black Friday" in June. You can find a list of the Amazon Prime Deals HERE. I love an easy breezy dress for the holiday weekend. Dresses that I love are this red gingham midi dress or this bandana maxi dress. MERSEA Built For Easy Travel Style

One of my favorite travel brands is MERSEA so when I was invited to celebrate their first store opening in Kansas City, I immediately said YES! They are my go-to for versatile, comfortable, and cute travel styles. It will instantly transport you to your favorite destination and have you ready to send a postcard home. Easy Travel Style

The brand MERSEA was birthed from a passion of travel and the nostalgic scents that come with it. Founders Mel and Lina were fascinated with the ability of a scent to transport you through time and space, so they created a brand centered around scents and self-care items. Now, they have transformed into a clothing brand with items curated for all of your travels. Each item was made with a person, place and destination in mind, making these garments so unique. Each product is ethically made from artisans around the world.

The pieces I own are not only chic, but so comfortable. And we know that feeling comfortable leads to confidence. I travel with their pieces often and absolutely love their classic travel wrap. It's perfect for keeping you warm on the plane or in a chilly destination. It also makes a great gift!

The co-founders are from Kansas City and longtime friends so it makes sense that their very first brick and mortar store open in their hometown. It's located in Country Club Plaza and it's the perfect little spot to pop in and see the entire collection. For the grand opening and VIP event the night before, Selma Blair (yes, she's blonde) was in attendance. She did a collaboration with MERSEA on their pajamas and loungewear called SEA LA VIE. It takes you from beach to bed to breakfast and I love that it includes a fabulous bed coat! Both events were so fun and we got to meet other influencers, customers and the MERSEA team.

I know we all love a good deal, but today I want to share my favorite items that are worth the higher price tag. Higher price tag typically comes with better quality and a lasting product, which means you have to choose wisely. From fashion to beauty, these are 12 items I am glad I splurged on and would again in a heartbeat.

One item that I wear again and again is this Hunza G swimsuit. I love the crinkle material and classic style. It is a one-size fits all, making it a great fit on many body types. I wear it on repeat over the summer and while on vacation! I have one in black and one in bubblegum pink. They are so flattering.

You can find plenty of Spanx dupes, but trust me, none of them compare to the real deal. I especially love this ribbed AirEssentials half zip and wide leg pants set (size S). It's the perfect neutral color for warmer temps and great for travel. I'm also wearing these sneakers, which I featured on my 10 best shoes for traveling blog post. They are a higher price point, but definitely worth the splurge. I have worn them dozens of times for traveling and casual errand days and never get blisters.

Happy Monday! Did everyone have a good weekend? A couple of weeks ago I talked about affordable fashion under $100, and it did so well that today I want to focus on more of my recent summer fashion finds under $100. These pieces look like high-end designer, but at a fraction of the price. I love mixing high and low with fashion.Let's take a look!

Summer Fashion Finds Under $100

Let's start with some gorgeous blouses. This pink lace blouse (size S) is such a great color for summer, plus I love the feminine lace details. Another fabulous top is this palm print blouse (size S). It is the perfect top for summer nights out or vacation. I styled them with these jeans (fit TTS), which are some of my favorite fits for summer. You could also style these tops with white jeans or shorts.

I love a great printed dress for summer. They are perfect for summer events, date nights, and lunches with friends. It's even better when they're under $100. This orange floral print dress (size S) is easy and the perfect pattern for sunshine. I also love this belted striped dress (size S). It's so flattering and a classic summer style.

Ok this loungewear top and shorts set (size S) is SO cozy. The relaxed fit is perfect for the weekend, plus the material is beyond soft.

Two tops that are perfect for summertime. This striped tank (size S) is the perfect layering piece for summer and this striped blouse (size S) is just a classic style.
