About
Jalin Wood was blessed to grow up on a small horse farm in rural Mississippi where she learned the rewards of hard work and dedication, the same attributes with which she represents her real estate clients here in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Growing up in Mississippi, Jalin gained international attention as an all-around equestrian earning a World Championship, a Reserve World Championship, and her personal favorite, the 2003 Dixie National Grand Champion. A proud native of Mississippi, Jalin represented her home state as Miss Mississippi in the both the Miss America and Miss USA pageants. Recognizing that inner beauty grows for a lifetime and is what truly defines a person, Jalin used her time as Miss Mississippi touring her state speaking at schools, churches, and youth groups. In sharing her testimony, Jalin encouraged young people to make the good choices that would serve them and their families well for a lifetime and beyond.

Jalin is the oldest of six children and being Miss Mississippi allowed her to pursue her education without burdening her parents by earning the scholarship funds necessary to pay for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Jalin took her strong work ethic with her into the classroom and obtained a chemistry degree graduating from Mississippi College summa cum laude with high honors. Not only was Jalin a cheerleader, student body representative and a President’s list scholar but she also spent long hours in the school laboratory researching HIV medication. Jalin then obtained a graduate degree from Ole Miss in Health Promotion and worked as a senior sales coordinator for NSA promoting a supplement system based on all-natural, whole food nutrition.

Jalin moved to Dallas in 2008 and fell in love with the City and its optimistic, forward-looking culture. Even when the rest of the country fell on hard economic times, Jalin loved that Dallas continued to work hard growing its local economy, developing its cultural offerings with the expansion of the Arts District, and improving its schools. In an effort help Dallas become a better city for everyone, Jalin enjoys working with Habitat for Humanity to build better neighborhoods for the less fortunate. Her enthusiasm for the DFW Metroplex has also led Jalin to work in her spare time as a regular correspondent and commentator for the local television show FYI Fort Worth and The Scott Murray Show on KLIF 570 AM.

Jalin brings the same enthusiasm and work ethic to representing her real estate clients. She wants each of her clients to make a smart choice in purchasing a new home that they will enjoy living in for years to come. Jalin believes finding the right home is about more than the right school district and the number of bathrooms. She wants her client to feel a personal connection with the place where they will live and for some to raise a family. Each client is unique and Jalin works hard to find each client a home that is specifically suited to her client’s tastes, interests and stage of life. Knowing that achieving the optimal result for her client does not always come easy, Jalin enjoys the challenge of rolling up her sleeves to find the right home for her client.
