Press Release:

Family Compass, a non-profit dedicated to building healthy families and a strong North Texas community by preventing child abuse and neglect, was honored to recently receive more than $5,000 from the Richardson/Plano Kappa Delta Alumnae Chapter. This generous donation was made possible from Kappa Delta’s Shamrock fundraiser held in Plano, TX.

Both organizations are proud of their longstanding friendship and partnership of working to build a safer North Texas. Kappa Deltas Kay Walgren, Rose Groce, and Gretchen McClurkan are shown here with Ona Foster, Family Compass CEO and Yahaira Rodriguez, Director of Collin County Growing As Parents Home Mentoring Program.  Kappa Deltas will attend the North Star Luncheon benefitting Family Compass at the Dallas Country Club on April 22nd.

To date, Kappa Delta has donated more than $23 million to prevent child abuse in our country. Thousands of KDs in hundreds of communities nationwide host Shamrock events every year to raise money for national and local child abuse prevention efforts.
