The University Park Public Library is open and ready to serve our residents with new services.  Whether you prefer to drop by in person or you like the convenience of our curbside service, we offer a wide variety of services for your educational and leisure-time reading needs.  

 Curbside service is offered Tuesday through Thursday from 10am to 6pm and on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm.  To utilize this service, place the items you want on hold through the online catalog at https://uppl.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/external or through the library’s app (UPTXLIB), available in the iTunes store and the Google Play Store.  You will need your library card number and PIN, which is the last four digits of your library card number.  If you don’t know your library card number, email library staff at info@uptexas.org for help.

 If you’re looking for suggestions for something new to read, then let the library staff make some suggestions.  Our new “Hand-Picked Reads” service is available here:  https://upform.wufoo.com/forms/handpicked-reads/.  Complete and submit the form, and one of our librarians will email you a list of up to five titles with links to the library’s online catalog so you can place requests for the ones you would like to read. 

 If you love browsing books or DVDs by subject, then the library’s “May We Recommend” service may be just the thing for you!  Library staff has compiled books and DVDs on popular themes.  Here are the recommendations:  https://uppl.ent.sirsi.net/custom/web/common/wereccomend.pdf.  The lists have links to the library’s catalog so you place your requests.  The themes will be changed monthly, so check back often.  If you have theme suggestions, email Sharon Perry at sperry@uptexas.org. 

 If you want to browse the library shelves in person, the library is open for browsing Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 2pm.  We ask that you observe social distancing in the library, and masks are required for anyone over ten years of age.  Frequently touched surfaces are disinfected several times daily.
