The University Park Preschool Association (UPPA) is pleased to announce their 3rd annual UP ALL NIGHT father/child urban campout, taking place April 16-17, 2016 at UP Elementary. Priority registration kicked off on February 4th with open registration beginning on February 16th. The event is expected to be a sellout again this year.
After checking in on Saturday, attendees will pitch their tents and prepare for an afternoon chock full of activities and an evening of fun. Exciting new additions to the campout this year include the “Dad’s Zone” sponsored by Saint Bernard, local favorite DJ Aaron to spin some tunes, laser tag, remote controlled boat races, a bubble tent, a color hair spray station, a photo prop tent, and a movie at the end of the night. All of last year’s favorite activities will be returning as well, including dodgeball, a dunk tank, a giant slide, bounce houses, a rockwall, an amazon zipline, karate board-breaking, foam bow/arrows, a blow up obstacle course, and many more.
The Friday before UP All Night, kids lunches will be provided by Mimi’s Pizza and Celebrity Bakery, with water provided by Let’s Talk Speech Therapy. Dinner at UP All Night will be provided by Burger House and Mimi's Pizza. The popular band “Whiskey Pants” is slated to entertain during dinner hours and the “glow-in-the-dark dance party” will kick off the night. Sunday morning, campers will enjoy breakfast provided by Rusty Taco and Krispy Kreme before they pack out of UP Elementary.
“This year’s UP ALL NIGHT campout promises to be our best yet”, said Ashley Hughes, President of UPPA. “Our chairs, Amanda Cejka, Holly Ramundt, Amy McMahan, and Morgan Grandy have truly pulled together an extraordinary day and night of activities. We are also incredibly grateful to the City of University Park, the underwriters, sponsors, volunteers, and of course our ever supportive Principal, Dr. Carter.”
To date, many local business and families have generously agreed to donate to UP ALL NIGHT. We are thrilled that Saint Bernard has signed on to be the lead sponsor of the event this year. Other sponsors including Eagle Shores at Lake Bob Sandlin, Medical City Children's Hospital and Crest Painting are on board once again to help with the festivities. Additionally, Ellen Grasso & Sons, LLC, Community Trust Bank, Not Just Soccer, Viverae, Southern Botanical, Elliott & Elliott Real Estate Group, Galleria Office Towers, KBS Realty, Briggs Freeman | Sotheby's International Realty, Tolleson Private Bank, Sewell, Robert Elliott Custom Homes, Urban Mattress and Big Frog Custom T-shirts of the Park Cities are sponsoring the event.
