Does anyone else lay their clothes on the floor to figure out how to pull a look together? It’s a little styling tip called a “flat lay” and it really helps visualize the ensemble.
You see me do this a lot on Instagram. Once I complete the outfit, I then hang it in my closet on a hook and keep it all together. This is very helpful for shoot days but I also use it when I think about styles for upcoming events. It takes the stress out of standing in the closet pondering about what to wear. And then saying out loud “I have absolutely nothing to wear!” Ladies, you know what I am talking about.
Now that I’m thinking about it, both of these outfits would have been great for Kappa Moms day that I just went to on Sunday. I love the blue floral print maxi dress and the blue lace dress with beautiful bell sleeves (it also comes in cream). Eliza J Dresses are available at Nordstrom and Dillard’s.
