the magic of a fit and flare dress

Fit and flare dress: Eliza J (on SALE!) c/o / Animal print pumps: Ralph Lauren / Bag: Hermes (similar here and this one for less) / Sunglasses: Dior (similar choice here for only $30) / Lips: Tom Ford in Spanish Pink with Chanel glossimer in #2 Brilliance on top (perfect nude lip)

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. We went to Cattle Baron’s Ball on Saturday night and had the best time! I went last-minute shopping on Saturday afternoon and threw together my casual boot scootin’ outfit. I’m going to do a post on how to quickly put together an outfit later this week. Today I want to talk about the magic of a fit and flare dress.

For me, this shape dress is so easy to wear. It’s just one thing you have to think about in your outfit selection. I love this cobalt blue color and mixed it with an animal print shoe for a little punch. I’m not big on accessories and I am a “less is more” kind of gal. Grab your handbag (great option that is much less here) and sunglasses and you’re out the door. This dress is perfect for work, meetings or a lunch date. By the way, it’s currently 40% OFF at Nordstrom so be sure to grab it quickly (it also comes in petite sizes). The fit and flare shape helps me hide my middle section which is where I tend to gain weight. That’s why I think it’s magic! I also love this tweed fit and flare because its perfect for fall. These dresses fit true to size.

What’s your secret wardrobe staple? xoxo- Tanya

P.S. Take a look back at this post last week about the cold shoulder trend for some other great dress options.
