I just got back from a little retreat to a luxury spa in Texas and it was so beautiful and relaxing that we literally forgot where we were. Lake Austin Spa Resort will always be a great spot for rest, relaxation and a reset. It's an exceptional destination for a girls trip!
Our Lake Austin Spa Retreat
This beautiful resort sits on 19 secluded lakefront acres and is the all-inclusive luxury you are looking for! We arrived at Lake Austin Spa Resort, grabbed a coffee and did a quick property tour and then headed to our beautiful room. Each of us enjoyed the privacy of our own lakefront room which allowed us to individually unwind. I’ve been to this spectacular resort before with Pete for a couples trip (check out the details here) as well as another time for a girls trip. You can tell from the previous posts, that Lake Austin Spa Resort has undergone a complete renovation. The resort is a fabulous choice for corporate retreats, girlfriends, couples, family gatherings or just alone time. There are only 40 rooms so think of it as a small boutique hotel/resort.

Our 3-day retreat included a private Aqua Stretch and Myofascial Release with Monica in the indoor pool (Barn Pool). This was truly transformative. Monica lead us in learning how to stretch in the pool while also explaining the benefits of myofascial release. I've been dealing with my frozen shoulder and she really worked on it to the point of releasing some of the pain allowing me to have more movement. I've done the Floating Meditation session in a prior visit and its incredible too.
The fact that you can walk around in the lush, white robes provided in your room was an added bonus. In fact, the only clothes we needed were our casual travel outfits, workout clothes, swimsuits and pajamas. You can actually dine in your LASR robe if you want to. Mostly, we were in our exercise clothes or shorts/tee. The food is exceptional! Lake Austin Spa Resort has its own organic garden and the cuisine is locally sourced. Chef Stéphane Beaucamp prepares each meal serving smaller portions to fit the spa environment. Don’t worry, no one went hungry. You can order as much as you want. There are chef-lead cooking classes too. We loved eating inside in the dining room but mostly enjoyed our meals outside because of the beautiful lakeside view. Dining al fresco was a plus!
You already know that I am a huge spa girlie, so I really enjoyed the three services I booked. But before we even get started with that, we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing the the Blue Room. This is where you wait for your treatments. It also has a screened in balcony where you can relax and listen to the birds singing. Simply heaven! LASR is offering a new 11 step scalp and hair treatment with French brand Leonor Greyl and let me tell you, this was fantastic! A full hour of someone massaging and playing with my hair while deep cleansing my scalp. YES please! I also had a wonderful Magnesium Massage and decided to indulge for 80 minutes. I finished with a Natura Bisse Citrus Appeal Facial and left the spa glowing. The best part is since you have nothing to do but relax, you can let all of the products work their magic without having to apply make-up or get ready to go anywhere.
Lake Austin Spa Resort is simply heaven. It’s an all-inclusive resort with every detail taken care of. There is absolutely no reason to leave the compound. You’re in 19 acres of Hill Country bliss.
