Save a Life and Adopt a Shelter Pet!

The SPCA of Texas Celebrates National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day with Adoption Special

  Save a life by adopting a homeless shelter pet and gain a new best friend! The SPCA of Texas is celebrating National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day with a $30 adoption special on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30. This adoption special will be offered for all pets (excluding livestock) at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in West Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney.

Regular adoption fees are $250 for puppies, $125 for adult dogs 6 months and older and kittens 0-6 months, $75 for adult cats 6 months and older, $50 for senior dogs and cats 7 years or older and VIP dogs and cats (available for adoption for 30 days or more). Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older and a FIV/FeLV test for cats 4 months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, a microchip, 30 days of free PetHealth Insurance provided by PetPlan, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a free year-long subscription to Activ4Pets, a rabies tag and a free leash. 

When you adopt a shelter pet, you’ll save a life by giving your new pet a home plus open up space for another pet at the SPCA of Texas. With the joy and love a new pet brings, you'll change an animal's life as well as your own. Adoption hours at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney are noon to 6 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and noon to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

WHEN: Saturday, April 29th, 2017 from Noon to 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 30th, 2017 from Noon to 6 p.m.
