Cream Cheese Roll Out Cookies

Ruth Anne made these at a Christmas Cookie exchange and they were yummy!

I have chased this recipe down because I had them at a cookie exchange several years ago and it does not get any better that this...

Peggy's Mom's Cream Cheese Roll Outs

• 1/2 lb butter
• 3oz cream cheese
• 1 cup sugar
• CREAM TOGETHER THE ABOVE

Add 1/4 tsp vanilla

• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 1/2 cups flour

Mix dry ingredients into wet.  Roll out on floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.  Use your favorite cookie cutters

Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes

Brush with egg whites then sprinkle with colored sugar, before baking OR frost cookies after they cooled

Depending on size of cookie cutters, this makes about three dozen cookies...
