Established in 2011, Scots Baseball Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization for select baseball players ages 6 to 18 in the Park Cities area.

MISSIONProvide the best environment for Park Cities area players to learn, enjoy and excel in competitive baseball; to field the best-ever Highland Park High School baseball teams; and to build character through baseball.

  • The longer our boys play together as a team, the more competitive they will be in high school (and in life).
  • Scots Baseball Club competes with other Park Cities’ sports and Dallas area baseball teams to attract the best players. Our mission requires: Committed volunteers, hiring the best available coaches, organizing league and tournament play, conducting instructional clinics (like our fall wood bat hitting instruction and Clayton Kershaw Summer Pitching Camp), and a high-quality, conveniently-located facility for batting and pitching practice/instruction.

Scots Baseball Club has many opportunities to positively impact the character development of all players, parents and coaches associated with the program.

PRACTICE FACILITY NEEDED: Scots Baseball Club greatly appreciates and has enjoyed temporary use of Scotland Yard over the past three years for batting and pitching instruction. SBC’s growth has created an immediate need for its own all-weather, safe, and convenient facility. Such a facility will allow SBC to continue to attract and retain the best available coaches and further enhance our player development. Economics do not support building and operating a for-profit practice facility inside or near the Park Cities. This is a need that can only be filled by generous personal and corporate donors with an interest in Park Cities families.

Following extensive research and analysis during 2012 and 2013, SBC is prepared to lease and outfit nearby warehouse space with multiple batting cages, a parents lounge, restrooms, etc. Safety, convenience and quality are all key objectives. Donations are needed for facility build-out and equipment. Ongoing operations are sustainable from reasonable instructor and player usage fees. Opportunities for facility use by disadvantaged Dallas youth will also be pursued.

FUNDRAISING GOAL AND DATES$100,000 by 1/31/14. This amount will allow for facility and equipment acquisition and an in-service date targeted for March 2014. Additional funds will be raised and used to support further facility enhancements and other SBC needs.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY: Park Cities families and businesses are coming together now to support the highest level of excellence within the Scots Baseball Club. In addition to demonstrating your love of baseball and this community, sponsorship opportunities will provide frequent, ongoing recognition among hundreds of players and parents.
