Park Cities Plaza owned and operated by Southern Methodist University has leased its only empty retail space along the busy Mockingbird Lane to local athletic store chain Luke's Locker. There is no info yet on the Luke's Locker website (http://www.lukeslocker.com/) announcing the new location but the SMU leasing office said the store was expected to open sometime in May. Luke's Locker chain of athletic stores opened their first store right here in Dallas on Oak Lawn Avenue. According to a quick look at their website Luke's Locker provides "best values for the running & fitness community...Whether the need is shoes, clothing, accessories or a top quality training program".
The last tenant of the space was Horchow Finale which moved out years ago for Inwood Village. Luke's Locker is welcome addition to the neighborhood to see another local business continue to grow and expand in the Park Cities neighborhood and the surrounding North Texas market. I look forward to stopping by in May to see the new store when it opens.
