Chanvre sheet from the 1920's Red monogram on a hemp sheet

I am an American who lives in country France half the year and the other half of the year in Dallas.

On a rainy Sunday morning in the town of La Tour Blanche France I was feeling a bit bored so I thought, what can I do today?  Movies, museums, shops none of those things are possible to do on a Sunday in country France.  What could I do?  Aha, the Brocantes ( flea markets) as they are only open on Sunday in Southwest France, I could do that.

I put my darling little Maltese puppy in the car and with umbrella in tow, we set out to see what was there.  I was overwhelmed with the variety of beautiful things that were available, so much and so lovely. Since we had sold our company, I was ready to do something new. I thought I could find enough things to start a business and I was right and that was how French Vintage Home began.

I do not have a retail store but I do have two web sites www.frenchvintagehome.com and also an Etsy "store" www.etsy.com/shop/FrenchVintageHome I am happy to say French Vintage Home has become a success.  Over the last few years customers from all over the world have bought my little treasures.

Because I am so partial to vintage linens you will see lots of them on the web sites.  For many years I was in the linen business, Audrey Table Linens, selling most of the major stores in the the US and abroad. You will see lots of vintage linens including sheets, pillow shams, monogrammed napkins, torchon ( French kitchen towels)  and so much more on the web sites.

There are other things besides linens, all vintage and all French.

Thank you for taking a peek at my web site.
