Highland Park Independent School District announced Thursday evening that all classes would be canceled Friday, Dec. 6 due to winter weather.

The district added that it would post additional news to hpisd.org and send email updates as the weather rolls through.

As of 6 p.m. Thursday night, the district hadn't yet made a decision about whether the Scot football team would still travel to Allen for Friday's playoff game, but HPISD officials said a final decision is forthcoming.

Additionally, the Armstrong-Bradfield Preschool Association said the weather is forcing them to cancel the 2013 ABPA Homes for the Holidays Tour, originally scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6.
