With two successful locations in The Colony and Carrollton, Barrel & Bones, which celebrates the art of in-house smoked barbecue, has opened in Dallas. The new restaurant is near Galleria Dallas at 12300 Inwood Road, Suite #130.
Barrel & Bones is renowned for its mouthwatering smoked brisket, tender turkey, savory sausages and other traditional barbecue favorites. But the menu also extends beyond the classics, featuring tantalizing creations like Pork Belly Banh Mi, Buffalo Deviled Eggs, a velvety Mac & Cheese, and indulgent Smoked Prime Brisket burgers.
The menu at all three Barrel & Bones locations has recently been refreshed and expanded, offering more than two dozen new selections, ranging from appetizers (Stuffed Avocado Bomb and Boneyard Brussels) to handhelds (Spicy Pastrami Brisket and the aforementioned Pork Belly Banh Mi) to soup and salad (Smoked Beet Salad and a Bootlegger Wedge) to the brunch menu.
Yes, this barbecue joint serves brunch, and it’s a great experience, with entrees including Pork Pibil Hash, a Brisket Montecristo, Chicken & Waffles and Migas Tacos. A brunch cocktail not to be missed is the Bloody Barrel, which serves 3-4 people. It’s Barrel & Bones’ take on a bloody mary with Tito’s Vodka, served in a barrel and garnished with pork spareribs, monster wings, sausage, onion rings and fried okra. It’s a meal in itself!
Chef Omar Adame has worked to change the perspective on barbecue in North Texas.
“We have worked to source the finest, freshest ingredients and to come up with creative interpretations of classics that better suit today’s discerning diner,” noted Adame. “We’ve created a dining experience that, while comfortable, is so much more elevated than you’d find in an old-school barbecue cut line.”
In addition to Barrel & Bones’ extraordinary food, the restaurant offers one of the largest selections of bourbon and whiskey in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, along with a wide range of craft beers and IPAs. All-new craft cocktails include Not Your Grandma’s Paloma, a take on the paloma using Tito’s Vodka), the Fancy AF, with Cazadores Silver, Amaretto, lemon juice, honey-vanilla syrup and egg white, and multiple takes on the Old Fashioned.
The Dallas restaurant is nearly 3,000 square feet and seats more than 70 with space for both small and large parties. The restaurant plans to host whiskey and beer dinners in the future. An elevated by-the-glass wine program is also in the works for the Dallas location.
