Culp Associates welcomed artist Jill Steenhuis and sculptor Serge James Ruffato to its beautifully renovated showroom with a lovely reception of wine and cheese Thursday, October 24. Steenhuis presented her impressive collection of French-Impressionistic paintings in the 19th century tradition of Cézanne, painting and experiencing nature through the senses, in her artwork. Alongside Steenhuis was her son, Serge James Ruffato, a Franco-American artist who explores notions of value, hierarchy, class and cultural identity through to use of different materials to create impressive and unique sculptures.

The pieces were beautifully displayed, turning the Culp Associates showroom into a gallery of art, and 10% of all sales benefitted Dwell with Dignity.
