Eleven seniors at Highland Park High School have been named National Merit Semifinalists.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has selected 16,000 students nationwide as semifinalists and will eventually award about 8,300 scholarships totaling more than $34 million to winners next spring.

Here are all of the semifinalists at HPHS: William J. Beeby, Madeline E. Clyde, Nathaniel N. Deuel, Lauren E. Egan, William R. Farmer, Taylor R. Foster, James P. Illmer, Alexander J. Levine, Cassidy D. Tanner, Thomas L. Walter, Jamie A. Young.

Congratulations to these Scots for their hard work and achievements!
