Highland Park's undefeated varsity football team has its eyes set on the state championship, and the team is getting close, but there are still a few hurdles to get past before making it there.

The Scots will be taking on Tyler John Tyler in the Region II semifinals round of the playoffs tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Waco ISD Stadium.

If Highland Park wins, the team will advance to the Region II finals and play the winner of Saturday's Rockwall-Heath versus Sherman matchup.

The Scots currently have a 12-0 record for the season and beat Woodrow Wilson by a score of 49-24 last week in the Region II area round of the playoffs.
