Members of YMSL lay new flooring

During the weekend of October 27th - 28th over 200 members of the Park Cities chapter of the Young Men's Service League descended on Voice of Hope to give back to the community during their "Ultimate Gift" weekend.  Mother and sons worked side by side to paint and deep clean 6 class rooms at Voice of Hope.  The boys and their mothers built new book cases, a sensory wall, and supplied cork boards for each classroom.  Old carpet in the nursery was torn out and replaced with rubber wood planked flooring.  By the time the weekend was over YMSL had completely transformed the classrooms so much so that VOH Director Rachelle Hast didn't want to leave the facility and was excited for the coaches and children to see it on Monday morning.

Voice of Hope provides the children of West Dallas with after school and out of school care as well as character development and faith based education.  The Young Men's Service League is a nonprofit organization that initiates and encourages young men and their mothers to pursue philanthropic involvement in their community as a means of enhancing mother/son relationships. The Park Cities chapter of YMSL is made up of boys in grades 9-12 that live in the Park Cities and attend Highland Park High School.
