Travis TAG Vanguard & Academy Wins First Place Earning First Place Overall and with more than forty students winning 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd place ribbons, these Travis students gather to celebrate their victory at the 2018 Winston Science Competition

William B. Travis Vanguard and Academy won First Place Overall in the 2018 Winston Science Competition held at The Winston School in Preston Hollow, which took place October 27th and November 3rd. In addition, more than forty Travis students took home individual and team ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Winston Science is an annual two-weekend science competition that invites children from all over the greater Dallas area to participate in science, art and creative problem-solving activities. This event is a favorite for Travis’ science teachers Alison Evans and Richard Schulte, who both teach to the principle that science should be fun as this provides an opportunity for a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
