Congratulations to the Running Scots as both Varsity and JV finished with championships in the District 11-5A meet held Friday at Myers Park in McKinney.  The varsity was led by Jack Alessio who finished 1st and won the individual district championship with a time of 17:34.  Alongside Alessio, Eric Lara, John Moss, and Tyler Mead all finished in the top 10 finishers.  All seven runners finished in the top 15.

The junior varsity was led by Ethan Moss who finished 3rd overall with a time of 19:38.  The top 5 finishers for the Scots all finished within 17 seconds of each other.  11 runners finished in the top 15.  The Golden Spike Award for runner of the week goes to Jack Alessio for his outstanding performance.  The team will advance to the Region II Championship Meet held at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie on Monday, October 22nd.  Go Scots!
