The Highland Park Middle School Musical Theater class will present Fame The Musical JR. with two performances on January 10, 2020.  Following the international acclaim of the hit motion picture, television series and stage show, Fame JR.features a high-energy, contemporary pop score and a touching coming-of-age story.

Directed by Ms. Allie McKenna and under the music direction of Mr. Tyler Perring, 35 cast members will bring the story of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts to life.  Set in the early 1980s, Fame JR. is the bittersweet, but ultimately inspiring, story of a diverse group of students who commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today.

Performances are on Friday, January 10th at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. 

The musical will be held at the Highland Park Middle School Auditorium located at 3555 Granada Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75205, and is open to the public. All tickets are general admission and can be purchased for $5 in front of the auditorium 30 minutes prior to each show. Students with MIS/HPMS ID will be admitted for free.

* The show runs approximately 60 minutes.  There will be no intermission.
