Following the tragedy in West, Texas last week where a fertilizer plant explosion killed 14, injured dozens and damaged hundreds of homes, Conference of Southwest Foundation members Cooper Foundation, Bernard & Audre Rapoport Foundation and Waco Foundation, have joined together to establish The West, Texas Disaster Relief Efforts Fund. Over $137,000 has been donated to the Fund as of April 23.

“We are proud that our members are aiding the West, Texas relief effort,” said Lucille DiDomenico, Executive Director of CSF, which is based in Dallas. “CSF members are dedicated to helping those in need, and this outpouring of support is another example of the good they do.”

Housed at the Waco Foundation, The West, Texas Disaster Relief Efforts Fund is for the sole benefit of West, Texas victims and relief efforts. The Foundations will allocate resources based on the community’s highest needs. For more information on how to contribute to the fund, visit www.wacofoundation.org or contact Melissa Miller, Director of Communications and Donor Services at Waco Foundation at (254) 754-3404 or mmiller@wacofoundation.org.
