As the sun set Thursday, the crowd began to trickle in at Robert E. Lee Park in Dallas. Bundled up to fight the cold, people spread blankets across the park, stood on the steps of Arlington Hall and gathered around the base of the park's statue with free hot chocolate in hand as a band played holiday music for all. 

At 7 p.m. Nancy Diamond of the Lee Park and Arlington Hall Conservancy mc'd the lighting of tree throughout the park, and then the fireworks show took over, lighting up the sky as music played in the background.
