HPISD partnered with the the food bank and the Park Cities Rotary Club to collect turkeys at HPISD campuses Nov. 14.  Preliminary results show:    

  • Online Donations: $5,448, a new option this year
  • Text-a-Turkey: $1,020, up 11 percent over last year
  • General Donations: $759, up 105 percent over last year
  • Canned Food Donated: 343 lbs., up 34 percent over last year
  • Turkey Poundage: 15,733 lbs., up 56 percent over last year  

The grand totals are 15,733 lbs. of turkey, $7,227, and 343 lbs. of canned food, the equivalent of 2,033 turkeys and 272 meals! The totals are more than double what was raised last year (953 turkeys).
