Highland Park Middle School Performs Roald Dahl's "James and the Giant Peach, Jr." April 26-29

MIS/HPMS will present its spring musical, James and the Giant Peach, Jr. with four performances April 26-29, 2018. Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, James and the Giant Peach, Jr. is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale.

The all school show, with special guest director, Megan Kelly Bates, and under the music direction of Ms. Katie McDaniel, includes 116 cast and crew members who will bring James’ story to life.  Timothy Allen McDonald wrote the musical adaptation andmusic and lyrics are by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the dynamic duo behind Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, The Greatest Showman, starring Hugh Jackman, and the Academy Award winning film, La La Land.

The audience will follow James as he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions.
