HPMS 7^th grader Victoria Thornton competed at USA Weightlifting Youth Nationals in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Friday, June 15, 2018.  She proved that she is a true contender in olympic weightlifting by once again standing on the podium at Youth Nationals. She snatched 50 kg and clean and jerked 62 kg, which was a pr for her. Her total was 112kg, which was enough for three silver medals, one for each of her lifts and one for her total.
