Dallas Pride 2020 Virtual Celebration to Raise Real Awareness for LGBTQ+ Community


Weekend of celebration to allow community and its allies to participate in an inclusive way


Dallas Pride 2020, “The Pride of Texas,” will be held July 25 and 26 through DallasPride.org and through the Dallas Pride social media channels on YouTube and Facebook. This virtual celebration will feature entertainment, interactive experiences and a chance for community members, friends and allies to show their pride in an inclusive, accessible way. This celebration is free to attend and accessible via the web.


Saturday, July 25, 2 p.m. - Dallas Pride Livestream Hosted by Ron Corning, Dallas Pride 2020 officially kicks off the free, online celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. Attendees may tune in on DallasPride.org, or through @DallasPride on Facebook and YouTube. Enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and celebrity cameos from personalities including Big Freedia, David Hernandez, Kristine W, Rayvon Owen, Ty Herndon, Brody Ray, Adrian Lea of PRIMADONNA and CrisDee, as well as messages from community members and special surprises. Also, peruse the new Dallas Pride interactive marketplace, where attendees can click on tents in the virtual festival to learn more about the organizations and companies that support the LGBTQ+ community, and find products and services to purchase or causes to support.


Saturday, July 25, 9 p.m. - Dallas Pride Celebration It’s a party! Put on your boogie shoes and let’s celebrate with music from DJ Deanne and Dorian Electra. How long will the party go? It’s anyone’s guess!


Sunday, July 26, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Dallas Pride Drag Brunch Mack Campbell, also known as “Marsha Dimes,” will host a virtual drag brunch, a fundraiser that will benefit local LGBTQ+ causes including Coalition for Aging LGBT, AIDS Services of Dallas, Equality Texas, TGRA, Miss Gay Texas Pageant System and United Court of the Lone Star Empire. Don’t miss some of Dallas’s favorite performers in all their finest!


Sunday, July 26, 6:30 p.m. - CW 33’s “The Pride of Texas” CW personalities Jenny Anchondo and Ron Corning will host a 30-minute special, “The Pride of Texas,” featuring highlights from past Dallas Pride parades, as well as interviews and “Profiles in Pride” segments. The special will also be co-hosted by Del Shores, a film director, production, TV writer, playwright and actor.


Dallas Pride is pleased to honor a group of people who have contributed their support to the LGBTQ+ community with the titles of Dallas Pride 2020 Grand Marshals: Adam Medrano, Kristi Wilson, Danny Cabrera, Linze Serell and Sable Alexander, Cassie Nova and David Hearn.
Everyone can get involved in supporting Dallas Pride, which encourages people to consider decorating their homes or putting signs in their yard, and sharing those images on social media with #DallasPride.


“This may be our most inclusive celebration yet!” Jaron Turnbow, executive director of Dallas Pride, said. “We have so much fun planned through this virtual event and what’s wonderful about this is how accessible it is for everyone. People who may not have been able to attend our events in the past can be with us this year. Whether you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community, or a friend, family member, other ally or supporter, we really hope you enjoy this event with us.”


Dallas Pride 2020 will be hosted on DallasPride.org and via the Dallas Pride social media channels. The events are free to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.
