Texans Can Academies expressed appreciation for one of its successful leaders at the Ad 2 Dallas’ third annual 32 Under 32 award program this week. Raul E. Machuca Jr., director of digital media for Texans Can Academies, was recognized during a reception at the House of Blues on Wednesday night, where he received an award for his extraordinary accomplishments in the field of advertising.

Together with the American Advertising Federation, Ad 2 Dallas aims to spotlight Dallas advertising professionals that are continuously making a difference in the community. The 32 Under 32 award program recognizes 32 rising stars under the age of 32 for the work they have accomplished so early on in their careers.

“Raul is incredibly deserving of this honor and award for his accomplishments while at Texans Can Academies,” said Richard Marquez, president and CEO of Texans Can Academies. “Our students, staff and teachers are thankful for his commitment to excellence and for all he does to raise awareness about the mission, vision and value-added services on behalf of our organization.”

Raul E. Machuca Jr. serves as the director of digital media for Texans Can Academies, managing branding and creative direction for the organization for nearly five years. In his role, Raul coordinates the launch of media and marketing campaigns, manages the organization communication efforts and manages social media and web presence for each of the 14 Texans Can Academy campuses. Through the Texans Can - Cars for Kids awareness campaign, Raul helped drive brand following for the fundraising arm to over 197,000 users. Raul enjoys volunteering at Cedar Hill Church, attending concerts and traveling with his wife and two children.

The 32 Under 32 award ceremony was held on Wednesday, October 23rd at the House of Blues in Dallas. Temerlin Advertising Institute presented awards to the third class of 32 passionate, forward-thinking and motivated professionals including Raul E. Machuca Jr.  Professionals recognized at the reception work for small and large advertising agencies and organizations based in North Texas.

Texans Can Academies is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide the highest quality education for all students, especially those who have struggled in a traditional high school setting, in order to ensure their economic independence. The organization has 14 dropout recovery and prevention high schools located in five major Texas cities and serves over 5,000 at-risk youth every year.
