Incoming Boone Elementary School students, parents and the community are being encouraged to suggest names to be considered for their schools mascot. Once a list is compiled, incoming Boone students will have opportunity to vote and eventually select the mascot. 
   A nomination form is available on HPISD website through Monday  November 18. “We think it’s important for students to have a say in selecting the new mascot for Boone”, Principal Amanda Reyes said. “This is a great opportunity to build our school community and it seems fitting that the first group of students to attend Boone will help establish its identity”.
