Congratulations to the Running Scots as both the varsity and jv turned in outstanding performances on Saturday at Myers Park in the Lovejoy XC Fall Festival.  The varsity team of Charlie Campbell, Hunter Hegi, Brett Jacot, Tommy Kerr, Eric Lara, Ethan Moss and Pierce Whiteman finished 2nd in the varsity boys 6A-5A division.  Pierce Whiteman led the team for the second time this season with a personal best time of 17:27 and finished 18th overall.  Whiteman is this week's Golden Spike Award winner.  The junior varsity finished 1st overall and were led by Joseph Linck, Jack Payne and Alex Bandy, who all finished in the top ten.  JV co-runners of the week are Foster Hudson and Mark Philbin.  Both PR'd by over a minute and finished in the top 15.  The team had 9 total runners record personal best times.  The Running Scots will compete next Saturday at the McNeil Invitational at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, TX.  First race is 8:00 AM.  Go Scots!
