The Running Scots competed in the Southlake Carroll XC Invitational at Bob Jones Park in Southlake on Saturday.  The past two weeks, at both Marcus I and Southlake Invitationals, the team has competed against some of the top 6A -5A teams in both Regions I and II.  The varsity team of Charlie Campbell, Hunter Hegi, Brett Jacot, Kai Jejurikar, Tommy Kerr, Ethan Moss, and Pierce Whiteman competed well finishing 26th in the Elite Division and were led by Hunter Hegi who finished with a time of 17:57.  Junior varsity ran teams in both the Elite and open division with both finishing 12th overall.  JV runners of the week are Aidan Morrill and Mark Philbin.  The Golden Spike Award for Running Scot of the Week is shared by Hunter Hegi and Kai Jerjurikar who both turned in outstanding performances on the long course.  The team will compete this Saturday at the Coppell Invitational at New Coppell Middle School West.  Race time is 7:30 AM.  Go Scots!
