Texans Love TV Travel Life: Visit the Southwest RV Supershow this weekend

Texans love the benefits of RV travel and life as reflected in sales where Texas has led the nation in RV sales.  In 2018, Texas’ earned $6.9 Billion in direct economic impact of RV related sales, services and campgrounds alone as determined by the 2018 RV Industry Profile Study for rvsmoveamerica.org.

More than nine million households now own an RV – the highest level ever recorded which is a 16% increase since 2001.  Lifestyle trends continue to spur demand for RV travel making frequent weekend getaways and mini-vacations possible for busy families.  Buyers aged 35-54 are the largest segment of RV owners according to a study commissioned by the RV Industry Association.  These and future generations are seeking innovative products to fit their lifestyle.  Manufacturers have developed lightweight, smaller units with fuel-efficiency and a significant investment in green technologies such as solar panels.  Today’s RV travelers are more diverse in ethnicity and background however all share an appreciation of adventure, outdoor activities, cultural immersion and desire for a quality connection with family and friends.

No matter the demographic or travel preferences, RV vacations can reduce vacation costs up to 73 percent as found in the RVIA Vacation Cost Comparison.  RV manufacturing has benefitted from advancements in production and state-of-the-art design to offer travelers the best in modern conveniences and technology.   Low interest rates and aggressive show-only pricing make RV travel an affordable lifestyle.

Returning to Dallas, the SOUTHWEST RV SUPERSHOW September 12-15 at Market Hall attracts over twelve thousand visitors to experience the latest innovation, technology and advancements in RV life and travel.  More than 400 demonstration units are throughout 350,000 square feet of display space.  The popular toy hauler units will be alongside the traditional fifth wheels, travel trailers, tent trailers, motor homes, motor coaches and camper vans.  Each day of the show offers a variety of seminars on RV ownership and vendors with the latest accessories to enhance RV travels.  Professionals are on-site to provide financing and insurance scenarios.  National manufacturers are represented by regional dealer members of the Texas Recreational Vehicle Association who produces the multiday event.

“We have designed the Southwest RV SUPERSHOW to create an easy shopping experience for the consumer to meet our dealer network in a vibrant environment to showcase best in service, selection and the ultimate offerings of RV life.   The Texas Recreational Vehicle Association is dedicated to providing a platform to educate consumers on the rewarding benefits of RV life,” states TRVA Executive Director, Phil Elam.
