The Lady Scots Varsity Basketball team beat Forney, 46-42, Tuesday night. The girls jumped out to an early lead but hit a speed bump with players in foul trouble. The whole team contributed to this victory! Mary Warriner Kemp and Ella Patterson combined for 17 of the teams 26 rebounds and 28 of the teams 46 points!! Execution and effort on the boards were 2 big factors late in the game and the win clinched the Lady Scots a State Playoff spot (Bi-District details to come)! The Lady Scots still have 2 district games left, their last home game and Senior Night versus Royse City on February 2nd and an away game at Wylie East on the following Tuesday. Please come out this Friday at 6:30pm and show your support for our Seniors Abby Snelling, Adelle Crofford, and Cassidy Yancey as they represent Highland Park for the last time in front of a home crowd!
