UP POLICE BLOTTER: January 29 - February 4

JANUARY 29 

BURGLARY OF VEHICLE 

A vehicle was burglarized during the night by forced entry via a back door window. The incident occurred while the vehicle was parked in the 6600 block of Dickens Avenue. Several items were taken without permission. 

WARRANT FOR ARREST

A vehicle was stopped for expired registration in the 3300 block of Westminster Avenue, and the driver was arrested for warrants at approximately 9:49 PM. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

The reporting person stated that a female customer stole several items from inside a store in the 8400 block of Preston Center Plaza. The theft occurred between 10:30 AM and 10:40 AM and roughly $1,000 of merchandise was taken. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

A resident reported that an unknown person took personal property out of his locker at the YMCA without permission at approximately 4:28 PM. 


JANUARY 31 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

A suspect took a package from a reporting person's porch without permission. The home is located in the 3200 block of Centenary Drive and the incident occurred between 1:09 PM and 1:50 PM. 

CRIMINAL TRESPASSING 

An unknown suspect used a brick to break the window of a residence in the 3600 block of Marquette Street and enter without permission at roughly 2:05 PM. 

HARASSMENT 

At approximately 5:06 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 3500 block of Asbury Avenue in regards to a threat report. The officer spoke with the victim, who advised that on the reported date, he received threatening text messages from a known subject. The suspect was not on the scene at the time of the report and does not reside in the city. A report was filed on the matter. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An officer was dispatched to the 8300 block of Preston Road in regards to a possible theft. More than $2,000 worth of property was taken without permission.


FEBRUARY 1 


THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An unknown suspect took a victim's property from the 3800 block of Bryn Mawr Drive at approximately 4:10 PM. 

BURGLARY OF VEHICLE

A reporting person advised that his third-row seat was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the 4100 block of Hanover Street. The incident occurred between 7:00 PM the night before and 6:00 AM the next morning. 


FEBRUARY 3 


CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 

A victim stated that an unknown person shattered his driver's side window at some point overnight while the vehicle was parked in the 4300 block of Glenwick Lane. 


FEBRUARY 4


THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An unidentified male entered a store in the 3000 block of Mockingbird Lane and stole an undetermined amount of makeup at approximately 9:10 PM, then left the store without paying for them.
