The Texans Can Academy - Dallas Ross Avenue Wildcats brought the team to a 68 to 58 victory to claim the State Varsity Boys Basketball Championship TCSAAL title.

The boys’ varsity basketball team at Texans Can Academy – Dallas Ross Avenue claimed the State Varsity Boys Basketball Championship this month for the Texas Charter School Academic & Athletic League.

The defensive and offensive work of the Ross Avenue Wildcats brought the team to a 68 to 58 victory over IDEA Weslaco on Saturday, February 10 at Hays High School in Buda, Texas.

This is the team’s first time winning the Texas State Championship Title. Coach Terrance Wright led the team through their winning season. 

Teams participating in the tournament included Village Tech Schools, IL Texas Garland, Legacy Preparatory Mesquite, IL Texas Arlington, IL Texas Keller, Heights Preparatory, Texans Can Academy - Garland Can, and Texans Can Academy - Dallas Ross Avenue.

Texans Can Academy – Houston Southwest also participated in semi-finals of the East Texas Basketball Texas Charter School Academic & Athletic League.
