McCulloch Intermediate School/Highland Park Middle School Performs
Disney’s The Little Mermaid, JR. May 2nd– May 5th
MIS/HPMS will present its spring musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, JR., with four performances May 2-5, 2019. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR.is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
The all-school show, directed by Ms. Allie McKenna and under the music direction of Ms. Katie McDaniel, includes 110 cast and crew members and one student assistant director who will bring the story of Ariel, the beautiful young mermaid, to life. The audience will follow Ariel through her magical underwater kingdom as she longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.
Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in this adaptation from Disney's Broadway production and motion picture featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music by Alan Menken and delightfully charming book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater.

* Thursday, May 2nd at 7:00 pm
* Friday, May 3rd at 4:00 pm (Note: Reserved Seating is in Balcony for this performance.)
* Saturday, May 4th at 5:00 pm
* Sunday, May 5th at 2:00 pm
The musical will be held at the Highland Park Middle School Auditorium located at 3555 Granada Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75205, and is open to the public. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased beginning Wednesday, May 1st in the HPMS cafeteria during lunch (10:30am-1:00pm) or in front of the auditorium 30 minutes prior to each show.
