Run, walk and bring Fido to the Unleashed Paws’ Fur Fun Run on Saturday, May 25, 8:00 a.m. at White Rock Alehouse & Brewery. The Memorial Day weekend paw-triotic run and walk is a fantastic event for the entire family and a terrific way to kick-off the holiday weekend.
The Fur Fun Run includes a 5K and a 1-mile pet stroll along the scenic Santa Fe Trail and White Rock Lake. Humans and dogs alike will be dressed in their very best red, white and blues to get into the spirit of the holiday weekend, too.
Each hooman participant in the 5K or 1-mile pet stroll will receive a paw-triotic event shirt, a finisher medal, race bib and either two craft brews or soda. Even pups who register for the 5K or 1-mile pet stroll will receive their very own finisher medal – something to strut around and howl about to their buds in the neighborhood afterwards.
For those who want to celebrate the holiday weekend in style, there’s a VIP Paw-ty Patio. Entry includes access to a shady, private patio area with misters and table seating that includes special brews that are not offered in the general event area. The VIP paw-ty package also includes a Fur Fun Run commemorative growler, a hot breakfast and pre-race coffee for humans, and pup treats. It also includes entry into the 5K or 1-mile pet stroll, complete with a finisher medal, event shirt and either two craft brews or soda.
Do you have fur-iends that are interested in supporting you at the Fur Fun Run, but aren’t interested in running or walking? No worries! They can enjoy the paw-triotic festivities with an All Ameri-Dog Paw-ty Pass, which includes a t-shirt and either two craft brews or soda.
You’ll also get to let your tail wag immediately after the 5K run or 1-mile pet stroll at the All Ameri-Dog Paw-ty, complete with music, local craft brews, sponsor booths, wading pools for furbabies and pup treats. Enjoy shopping at Bark & Bones Boutique, Nature's Select, Chow & Tabby and Big Doggie Duds. MedVet, our official emergency veterinarian, will be hosting a pet-aid station on the course and at the start/finish line. Each dog attending will also receive their very own MedVet travel water bowl.
